He's the one Elena betrayed, and lied to. But hey, it's just because he's childish... So how about Rebekah, and her 900 years old grudge? Or Elena not getting a hint? Or even Damon still taking advantage of her, knowing her feelings might be triggered by the sire bond? Some people are such phony, it irritates me. After School Special, is clearly one of the worst TVD episodes. Not only does it bring back two useless characters like Kol and Rebekah. Who definitely got better during her stay in New Orléans. But it was just another excuse to add more illogicalities to the show's writing. Apart from the ridiculous shot of Caroline, re-enacting Buffy Summers posing with her wooden stake. I really don't see the point of her being part of this. When her boyfriend keeps acting like a Mikaelson's doormat, after breaking his own sire bond to them... And where is Hayley at now? The Winter finale was very good, but this premiere made Carole Lockwood's death look anecdotal, when writers put the emphasis on shallow teen drama the « next day ». This goes to show how, apart from a couple of episodes, the second half of season 4 is a disaster, buying the show time until the launch of its spin-off series. And from what I recall, the Silas nonsense gets unnecessarily complex afterwards. No way this is one of the best seasons.

Rebekah rounds up Elena, Bonnie and Stefan to update her while she was staked. She shows no mercy in drawing out the truth about Elena's feelings. Elena admits she loves Damon in a way that isn't because of the sire bond. Stefan is upset Elena slept with his brother. Rebekah gets Kol to kidnap Shane and they "kill" him but Shane is saved by Bonnie's protection spell. The group escapes as Tyler is forced to turn by Rebekah. Damon is still with Matt and Jeremy at the lake house where the pizza delivery girl comes back asking to use a phone. Turns out that Klaus was at work and turned her into a vampire. She goes in and attacks Matt but Jeremy kills her which makes his mark grow.
