This documentary immediately opens with overly loud 40s music. All the while, a folksy voice over talks about the earliest days of 20th Century UFO sightings. If not for the caption feature, I doubt I'd have been able to process much at all. The juxtaposition of whimsical WWII-era music, (some with lyrics! Even MORE distracting!) war era stock footage, and the narrator's home movies creates a dubious and unsteady foundation for information as truly weighty as unknown/extraterrestrial craft and their occupants.

Honestly, I'm six minutes in. What this means is:

• things could get better (IF I can continue)
• this review is, admittedly, cast early
• only six minutes of watching has been painful and, well, DUMB.

Public study/investigation of and comment on (as through a film) this subject must be held to the absolute highest standards if our investigations are to be taken seriously, as they should be. I will continue to be critical of any amateurish projects around the topic of ufology.

This film doesn't know what it wants to be. Autobiography? History? Woody Allen movie?

I'll try my best to finish this doc, though it feels like a loathsome chore.
