Excellent Sophisticated Plot
Hitchcoc29 September 2017
When a priest is beheaded as he faces the altar, Jack becomes involved. This leads to an investigation of a pedophile and a connection between two altar boys that were abused. There are multiple levels that get revealed and great danger. Jack is his usually manipulative self, at odds with Cody, but bringing danger to all. This shows how complex this all can be. The intense pain caused by the act of this priest has left a cesspool that the victims must maneuver through. There is potential incest and further evils at play here. I'm surprised that there were only nine episodes made of this series.

Priest
Prismark109 October 2016
In Priest, Iain Glen's Jack Taylor comes to the help of the Father Malachy who looked after his dying mother. He has received threats and another priest has been found murdered with his head decapitated.

Jack enters a world of child abuse and that consequences of the abuse. The murdered priest was vile, a child abuser and a rapist. Other people are getting killed and there is a land developer and his clingy sister who seems to be dictating things and getting in Jack's way.

No doubt that some of the writing is rather clunky, it cannot go unnoticed that despite being an alpha male, the hard drinking, hard living but skint Jack seems to be a magnet in attracting female attention.

Still the mystery remains fairly strong and the story of child abuse in the priesthood in Ireland is topical.
