In Charleston, there is a battle between the 2nd Mass, Mechs and Skitters. When Beamers arrive, Tom brings Lt. Fisher to see the use of Volm weapons and she is impressed with the human's victory. She contacts President Hathaway using a short-wave radio and introduces Tom. The leaders schedule a meeting, but Tom needs to borrow Pope's airplane to reach the place. Anne gives a kit of medicine prepared by Lourdes to Tom to take with him. Pope demands to go with Tom, Cochise and the pilot Gen. Bressler to the meeting. However their reception is not as expected. Weaver stays with Marina administrating Charleston. Anne takes a sample of her daughter and joins with the samples of the children that have had their harnesses removed and asks Professor Roger Kadar to analyze the DNA. When she receives the results, she learns that all the children but one are humans. Hal believes he is hallucinating but learns that Karen introduced an implant in his brain and the other entity takes control over him. Meanwhile, an Espheni aircraft attacks the location of the meeting and the participants need to flee.
"At All Costs" is an episode of "Falling Skies" good and bad storylines. The meeting of Tom and Hathaway is promising for the human race. The separation of Tom and Cochise is unexplainable. How the point of their encounter was found by the Espheni is a mystery. Anne's attitude is stupid and annoying. The "new' Hal Mason is at least intriguing and will certainly bring news problems to the 2nd Mass. My vote is seven.
