Maybe it's me, but half of these searches seem unlawful. It's an intriguing show, but their reasoning for some of these frisks are weird.

People coming in from a foreign country, when going through federal customs, can be legally detained and questioned for ANY reason no matter how trivial it may seem. The customs agents seen in the show are very much real, however they are also somewhat acting in order to make the show more watchable. A lot of the show is made for entertainment purposes, but the premise is very real. My suggestion is to stop taking shows like this too seriously, but still respect the CBP, HSI and all those who are working to protect our country. Drug trafficking is a huge issue and currently our government is allowing the border to be overrun with illegals and with that comes more drugs, more human trafficking and more bad people.

My biggest complaint has got to be the segment when they flash the values of drugs on the screen after a bust. I always took this at face value, until watching an episode where stolen cars are recovered. They claimed that the value of the 6 cars was around $600k. However, there is no way the value of the cars shown adds up to this. That would imply an average cost of about $100k per car. This estimate is reasonable for the Lexus LX and Mercedes GLS, but not for the 2012 Honda Accord, 2012 Mercedes C Class and 2015 Mercedes C Class. I forget what the 6th car was. It was either an early 2010s Mercedes ML or a Honda SUV. Either way, the total of these cars is far below $600k. Maybe, if we're being generous, they're assuming that the cars would have been parted out. Even then, $600k is still really steep.

I know it sounds like I'm nitpicking, but as somebody who is knowledgeable about cars and has no clue what drugs are worth, this casts doubt on their estimations of street values. Otherwise, it's an enjoyable show.

This gives you an inside look at what our CBP officers do to stop smugglers from bringing drugs and illegal contraband into our beautiful United States of America.

Until you people have worked in their line of work, your low reviews are a joke.

People write bad reviews but wait till a loved one overdoses on the drugs that come in illegal and our crops are ruined due to a disease brought in. So think before you write a bad review. They do their job don't like it I'am sure other countries don't care! I see this all the time people writing reviews and don't stop and think about what the think when writing a review. Yes they stop from central American that's where the drugs come from and not all are stopped unless you meet their requirements to be search. Coming from Africa has the most insects and disease ridden items. I have been stopped and have no problem I'am glad they doing their job!

Don't understand all the negative reviews. These people catch drug, animal, plant smugglers using only their wit and experience. I was amazed at the lengths smugglers will go to. If you don't care about stopping drugs, endangered and invasive species from coming into the country this show isn't for you.

This is a really poorly developed show. Similar show regarding NZ, AU & UK are way better and well executed shows. This show reveals not only poor movie making skills in every level but, also shows US customs/HSI/Airport Security in poor light. When you compare it to the NZ show, you think how poor the US Border Security is, at many levels. 1. In all other shows, you will see use of Canines as the best and simplest method to sniff out the people/packages carrying contrabands. 2. The people on other shows are so polite and professional in their attitude. While in the US version, it seems that the only thing the US security personnels are worried about is reaching their target number of catches, sort of. They behave like they are pressured to find out people and they almost prey or beg to the god that whomever they have put in custody will be carrying pallets in their stomach with drugs upon X-rays. 3. The equipment they (US people) use are so poor. I mean who uses traditional medical X-rays to determine the presence of drug ingestion. Look at the NZ, UK & AU shows and you will see full body X-ray machines that are quick and are Theo ones that Security personnel themselves can use them without any assistance of a doc/x-ray technicians. 4. The US/JFK warehouse, baggage unloading area behind the carousel, the mail sorting area, all are so dirty and have poor illumination. Looks so bad. 5. They don't have X-ray machines in check-in baggage unloading area, instead they go to the incoming planes itself carrying a portable x-ray machine to X-ray the baggages. 6. The only thing the US version is good at is to show how unprofessional the US Airport security personnel are.

I am very disappointed with the poor light in which the US personnels are shown. I mean this is supposed to be the most advance country in the world.

I'm so grateful these brave officers are so aware and cautious of these criminals trying to entire our country. The massive amount of drugs they find is astounding! So while these precious officers are diligently doing their job successfully... America's border is being bombarded by illegals, cartel bringing in drugs, human trafficking in enormous numbers, children just dropped off. The present administration does not care at all. It's pathetic. These Brave Officers here at the airports are so diligent and respectful. They are doing a phenomenal job. I'm proud of all those workers!

Season 2, Episode 12...they found 34.6 kilograms in the spare tire, Street value $86,000. AND THE US ATTORNEYS OFFICE DECLINED PROSECUTION OF THIS CASE.....That is a messed up system! Shame on them! So, they got away with that... what's stoppin them from bringing in more dugs.. NOTHING! Including hiding Bye-den PUPPET!

This show is a joke. From the ridiculous amounts they estimate contraband to be valued at, to the cast of A-Holes enforcing their Jack-Boot tactics on travelers. They keep referring to themselves as the "good guys" and that they are concerned with safety but it's all a joke! They shame innocent people into confessing to crimes they suspect them to be guilty of and justify their actions as "nothing personal, just doing our job". Where have we heard that before? If these are the Good-Guys, I'm rooting for the Bad-Guys.

I've never seen more crooked federal agents in my life. They have destroyed peoples property and seized money or better yet stole peoples money. These are the absolute worse wanna be cops I've ever seen!! Lol

I enjoyed the show before I started catching on.

You ever wonder what happened to the High School Jock bullies who'd make fun of foreign kids or the handicapped? They became CBP officers!

That one guy in JFK with the whiffle, I'll lay him out in a minute. Mr. Tough guy cop with the sarcasm. Harassing a guy who has 32' inseam pants and he's a 34', now that's pretty suspicious, good work officer, make sure you body scan everyone passing through too!

The arrogance f the customs officers seems to have no limits! The HSI at least seem to act professionally, but the custom officers are quite something, if I lived in the 30s I would have bet money they were trained by the German Gestapo.

Glad I have no wish to visit the land of the free and brave, that live knee deep in their own hypocrisy! Quite shocked tbh! Respect must be an absent word in their vocabulary!

Said all that, its worth the watch, if not for anything else, then to get confirmed any decision of going to NZ, Australia or Canada instead!

Jesus I can only watch this show in 5 minute increments. The dramatizations make this show almost unwatchable. In addition, the cases are drawn out to an almost ridiculous amount of time - makes me nuts.

Might as well put a swastika on their arms and SS bars on their collars they treat people like they're just pieces of trash I know other people see this and you're disgusted with it as I am they all enjoy ruining a person's life they enjoy taking everything in the man has or the woman has destroyed their family putting them in jail just totally ruined their life and they profit from whatever they can take from these people it's sickening you know they talk about how many people do this and smuggle everyday what's that tell you you're not going to stop it maybe you should think about other ways of dealing with this the way you're going about it isn't working it's causing more problems and it's causing a solution really reminds me of all those people I grew up with in school that were picked on all the time not a grown-up they got a job where they can pick back there's a most rude obnoxious people on this show I've ever seen in my life totally brainwashed thinking they're doing something good they enjoy it and enjoy destroying a person's life it's sickening

I had watched this show in other countries and they are so polite and kind. Their hunches are 99% correct but as I am watching the US series these people are wrong 99% of the time and they treat people like criminals to find out they have nothing on them or in them. They put an elderly gentleman through everything. Body search bag search and to the hospital for xray and found nothing and didn't even apologize. The episode I am watching now has a fat officer opening a Vietnamese family's boxes and finds pills that are basically tylenol, then uses his finger to beckon her to him.. DISGUSTING.. Stand your fat ass up and speak with her. When he found out he was wrong he did not even apologize to her. I am appalled how the United States treats people. You can see they are all on a power trip, it is disgustingly apparent..

When the drug sniffing dog picks out a box at the JFK international mail distribution center it is the only box with no shipping address label on it. Staged. Fake.

Overall the show is interesting. Different ways people can smuggle contraband into this country. We had no idea these activities were going on. We can appreciate how officers attempt to keep narcotics off the streets. You can only imagine how bad things can be if these officers did not exist. BUT one department that is such a waste of tax dollars is Artifacts dept. Who the hell cares if some artifact was taken from some third world country. How does that help us? Is it real or fake, who cares. Should get rid of the artifacts dept and get more K9s. Definitely shows how the government likes to waste money.
