Fanboyish

There are many fanboyish video game docs out there. This one is definitely watchable. Yet, this is clearly a labour of love by the creator. However, it's all over the place in its presentation. I would suggest something like "Video Game Years" by Retroware for a better (and more entertaining) video game history.

Warning: Spoilers
Gamer Age goes off on so many uninteresting tangents for me personally, others may like it.

I mean how can you have a broad gaming documentary and never even mention pivotal titles like Doom, Diablo or Half-Life. The only real competitive scene they show's arcade/console fighting, which is extremely limited and we see a guy acting like a clown and the crowd cheering. Perhaps delve into what makes him spend countless hours playing the game in the first place to become so good at it, or therein lies the problem. I play the FPS, for the many million things that take place within and because it's forever a challenge. No matter how good you are, like a sport, there's always room to improve. Even though winning's the objective, you're not rewarded by doing so. You're rating or glicko will increase and thus future matches be more difficult, therefore always a challenge for everyone involved.
