Good short series

Firstly, if this series was any longer like over 15 episodes, I wouldn't have enjoyed it. Thankfully it's just 11 episodes because the series can be exhausting and all the lies, infidelities and bitchy love triangles can be too much to swallow. The cast is just fantastic especially our two main leads acted very well. I also like the ending because it shows how a woman can stand on her own despite all the disappointments she went through. Burcu Ozberk really lived up to the title of the series. Initially I thought the scriptwriters would write a new love interest for her after the divorce but am glad they did not. They are able to show an independent lady who can accept and build a better life despite unfortunate public embarrassing events.

She Really Is the Queen!

Pros: The best thing about this series by far, is the actors. Each one was excellent in their roles. I am a huge fan of Ozberk and Alkan. I would watch them in anything....even if they did a commercial for foot powder, they would rock it! I also love Serkeci. She just has a million expressions without saying a word.

The storyline was pretty exciting, but it was frustrating as well. I love Gokhan so much and it pained me to see his mistakes. I was cringing in the beginning when they showed him being selfish and unfaithful. I just want to love him so I am glad that his character eventually seemed redeemed.

Cons: I am sorry that it was such a short lived series. I don't think it deserved such low ratings. It had more potential.

Although I didn't want it to end, it did provide a satisfying ending, considering the writers had to tie up all the loose ends in a 2 hour show. I hope I will soon see these actors in another project. They are adorable.

A culturally embedded and yet modern show

Such an excellent pilot. Burcu Ozberk's talent doesn't need anymore validation in my opinion. Ozberk is absolutely phenomenal in this. Selin, Gokhan and Ozgun are equally brilliant. This Turkish adaptation of Queen Sugar is a must see and will definitely be an interesting take on the Turkish woman and all its definitions, family ties, cheating and rape culture in Turkey.

The chemistry between all the actors is top-tier. Deniz and Ates's destroyed romance will be a blast to watch. Whether they can ever reconcile or not isn't what matters on this show. What matters is their journey as two parents moving forward with or without each other for the sake of their daughter. Ates will have to redeem himself and it'll be hard but amazing to watch. Furthermore, the kids involved in the project will definitely be essential to the storytelling; something Turkish shows are known for. Those children are characters of their own. Not extras.
