In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, chef/owner Maurice Walker claims to be proud of his Cajun/Creole-inspired eatery, 'Boil and Roux' restaurant and bar at 11777 Coursey Blvd., but his lack of leadership and inability to inspire his staff threaten to destroy the business. If Robert Irvine cannot teach Maurice how to lead effectively, his restaurant has no chance to survive. At the end of the program, after two days of working with Robert Irvine, there has been a transformation in Maurice. He is energized and it shows.
