A Goon's Deed in a Weary World (#7.11)

Warning: Spoilers
Liz tries to save TGS, but everyone is slacking off. In the meantime her new kids are coming and the team quits fir her to be able to go pick them up at the airport with Criss. Jack is looking for his replacement and Kenneth gets very much involved in the selection, at the end Jack picks Kenneth.

At first I must say I am sad as it looks that TGS is over...Honestly, they make a good preparation for it as in showing us that it would suck from now on anyways. I just hope it isn't about Liz becoming a mom, if she ends up having another show at the end I will be happy, if she will be just a stay at home mom the ending will be a bit disappointing.

Now to the positive things. I am so happy Kenneth got the job! I was really worried that next moment the shot will show us that it is just his dream. This is the best choice ever! And we got a beautiful song from him at the end.

And it is awesome to see how Liz's kids are pretty much Jenna and Tracy. She sure should have no problems here as she is used to them for a while!

Warning: Spoilers
Sadly, 30 Rock is reaching the end. That gives me more time to re-watch Community, and watch The Good Place for the first time. Anyway, Tina Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, directs this episode. He also has a cameo as the one-man band.

Kenneth becomes NBC President! I loved the Willy Wonka references for sure.

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time. Conventional wisdom was that Sorkin's powerhouse series be the one that would survive the first season, with 30 Rock being a one season wonder. But history has proved otherwise.

Warning: Spoilers
Liz has another one of her wacky dreams as she packs away the office because the show is getting cancelled. She is woken by Chris who is excited of the new twins coming into their life's. Liz wants to still save the show but for once gets no help from Jack. Liz gets a call from Chris but has to deal with her staff as she still try's to make a difference meaning she ignores Chris. The show then must go through budget cuts. Kenneth gets his page uniform back because he is wanted to do a tour that will be used as an audition for someone to replace Jack. Peter thinks the best idea for the show is to get a sponsor for the show. Liz talks to a possible money supplier but he wants to change the show very much. Tracey and Jenna are made do press for the show but just talk about their fake movies coming up. Kenneth does the tour and when Jack does not like how he acts he is replaced. Chris try's to include Liz but when her writers act so idiotic she freaks out she is picking the show over a family. Kenneth learns the truth about his pure heart guy which makes him sad NBC might be over soon. Liz sees the show is awful and when she gets a call about the twins flying in she picks the show once again. Kenneth gives up the page program and Jack asks him to be the president of NBC for his love of the channel over Jack just having it as a job. Jenna and Tracey mess up the show by quitting with support from everyone allowing Liz to go see the incoming twins. The kids are like a Minny Jenna and Tracey. Funny episode and Tina was great throughout. With only two episodes left in the series i am sad this show which has been great for comedy will be ending.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Tina Fey)
