Tre, an Ivy-League educated black man, is the top executive at a Los Angeles marketing firm. When his ambitions of being the 'front-man' of the firm's new SUV campaign are passed over and given to a 'cooler' black man, Tre and his two colleagues, Cal and Don, hasten a plan to wear hoodies with the hopes of changing the way people perceive them. This experimentation with wearing the hoodies brings them self-confidence and self-adulation. But in the end, will it prove to be worth it?
