The Real Story: Saving Private Ryan (2012)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This is another very good entry in the series that takes a popular Hollywood movie and talks about the true story that influenced it. This episode of The Real Story takes a look at the Sullivan and Niland brothers, both families shared certain tragedies in real life that partially influenced the film by Steven Spielberg.
This episode is extremely entertaining and especially if you're a fan of the film itself or just a WWII buff. The stories dealing with the two families were very interesting and sad to say the least but the episode does a great job at telling them and explaining their connection to the film. Also of interest here is how they take a look at some of the action and see how realistic it was. This includes the bullets going through the water and the ending with the sniper and the shot made.
