The best modern episode
nikkebaby10 October 2023
The Simpsons hasn't been good in a while. I think that first 7 seasons were the best seasons and, it was still good up until season 12. Season 12 was very disappointing but season 11 I think was very good. All the seasons after 12 got progressively worse but, I think season 35 gives hope to the series. This episode is as good as the average season 8 episode. I really didn't think that I was gonna be laughing at a modern Simpsons episode but, I actually did. The show might actually be good again. I think the episodes message was also pretty good. Overall I think this episode is a 7.6 out of 10.

Episode I: Phantom Rehash
tcamyuntoldartist15 October 2023
Homer's Odysssey anyone?... him being fired for the first time from the power plant, and acting as the guardian angel of small and adults all around town.

Homer becoming the city garbage manager yelling knowitallisms and learns how hard it is really?..

Homer establishing a home defense para militant thingamajig that becomes aggressive to the civilians by time...

And so this is the time, the fourth, to tell the same somewhat differently. Interestingly enough, the first iteration was heart warming and great, the garbage one was anything but, and the defense group thing was kinda on the same level as this new, but 20 years ago.

I will NEVER be disappointed over a mediocre first episode ever again, after looking at Marge The Singing Disney Princess Nightmare. So 6 it is.

The Opening To The New Season: TIME TO REVOLT BOOIIIIIS!!!
systemofabrodie18 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I've talked about this on my YouTube account so I will copy and paste it lol, This is a pretty good opener to another Simpsons Season.

I love how one of the Earliest Jobs Homer Simpsons had (from season 1) is the main focus of season 35. Despite many gags being not that good, the intro based off of some Saturday Morning Cartoons was a little bit meh to my liking; I did enjoy the many gags shown in the episode, the school billboard scene is definitely my favorite out of the entire episode...unless you count that trumpet scene. I love how Homer went from being a chill, as he could be, person to a dictator with the likes of any infamous dictator out there. I have to agree with Lisa and her statement on the lesson Homer had learned, an army would also pick someone out as their enemy in order to get some form of fame. I didn't really like the scene where the crossing guards were at Moe's, it was too stretched out to my liking. This episode is a good episode. 6/10.

An Average Season 35 Episode ( Because Season 35 is Soo Good!! )
e_daneva15 December 2023
Homer's Crossing was an amazing Simpsons episode. I have watched seven Season 35 episodes, and 1 was okay, 1 was bad, and 6 were pretty good. This episode falls in the pretty good category. Homer's Crossing was a hilarious episode and deserves higher IMBD ratings. This episode gets a 6.8 out of 10?? That's too low. This episode needs a 7.7 at least. Homer's Crossing is a great season premiere for the 35th season of a long running show, starting off the season at a good note. In the last year or two, the Simpsons have become bad to really good. I haven't watched Season 33, but I have watched season 34, and it is amazing!! This episode continues on the greatness of Season 34 with the writers knowing what they should do and what they shouldn't do. Season 35 is going strong, really strong. In all I give this episode a 8.5 out of 10.

This is just another homer is a vigilante episode.
cheap_sunglasses-4158719 October 2023
This is just another homer is a vigilante episode. As previously seen in, Homer the Vigilante.

How many of these do we need? I think i gave on the concept after Homer being Pieman. That was the last decent take, on this 'Homer the vigilante' concept.

Please stop just rehashing this overly tired series.

It is painfully clear there is no new direction for these characters.

There is no other show that is allowed this much room for mediocrity and bland entertainment.

Please stop wasting your time and end the series. Just make another Movie with all the best effort thrown into like the first and let it be. But with our luck, The Simpsoms movie 2 will be about Homer Pissing Off Marge just to gain back their marriage just in time to save the day for the credits to roll.

This was an Unsettling Start
brettw-665463 October 2023
I like the series back in 2015 when Season 27 was released and it was the greatest series of all time after a few seasons its starting to go became edgy, This season started without the choir in the opening title card which this is something not right about this. Otto gets High with the school bus and drove away at the start of the show. When Homer became a crossing guard, he saved Ralph Wiggum's life and Chief Wiggum doesn't care which now he is a bigger Idiot than Homer.

Since Mayor Quimby decided to decrease Homer's Wages, Homer wants to go war against the mayor and Idiot Wiggum. They both decided to make Political campaigns which they both made very corruptive leaders which Homer is far-right leader and Quimby is a far-left conspiracy. Both of them screaming at the Intersection kind of scared me which was a very bad start for this series.
