I wonder...
budafli17 September 2019
I wonder if anyone ever wrote and told Nev and Max Rod was gay IRL. I went to school with him. Hence why he didn't want to talk to her after he found out she was a biological woman. Lol. Muah, Rod.

Black female-loving female Emily tricks money conscious Rob/Bob into joining her - then pushes him away
Rebeccac-h16 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Bob and Emily have been talking over the Internet for over five years. Their relationship stated to bloom in the autumn, as the leaves started to fall. Bob wooed her with his words, she responded with a series of cash gifts to offset his considerable expenses. Living on opposite sides of the state, they seemed destined never to meet and their feelings seemed destined to extinguish.

That until recently, when Bob took the steps to contact Nev, the presenter of Catfish, in search of his darling Emily. Their steps at first were tentatives, but Nev's ability to type Emily's name into Google was a game-changer. Co-presenter Max gave a series of exaggerated surprised looks as Nev explained his brilliance from a hand-held camera.

Bob and Emily eventually meet in Emily's suburban retreat. Then the bombshells start to be dropped. She tells Bob she is actually a man and Bob's friend tries not to laugh as his mate tells him he thinks he's into a man with a penis. She immediately discovers that he is not the person he was claiming to be online and that is just the first of many heavy lies between the pair. She begrudgingly invites him in, pours out the coffee and then BANG.

1) he has been lying about his name 2) real name was Rob 3) she has an eleven year old kid 4) she is actually not a man and has no penis 5) she actually used to be a female-loving female 6) she says he literally urinated on her 7) he was only using her for her money not her affection

Melanie tells Rob to leave but more importantly Nev is tired so asks to leave. Nev and Max start to ask Rob if he is now into men for some reason even though we now know Emily is a bird - a female-loving one. After another night of pretending to be sad she invites him back. Rob is reluctant as he now feels bad for using her money. They part on amicable terms rather than loving ones.

Two weeks later and Rob and Emily still talk a couple of times a week, but both remain single. Mental episode of catfish with about 8 banging twists in the third quarter. Couldn't believe it by the end but thumbs up for unpredictability.
