Aaron Taylor-Johnson has found his next role in David Mackenzie’s heist thriller “Fuze,” which Anton will launch at the European Film Market in Berlin this month.
The film reunites Taylor-Johnson and “Hell or High Water” helmer Mackenzie, who last worked together on 2018’s “Outlaw King.” With a script from Ben Hopkins, “Fuze” “opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, sparking a mass evacuation – the perfect cover for a heist,” according to the film’s synopsis.
Taylor-Johnson’s stacked project lineup currently includes the headlining role in Marvel’s “Kraven and the Hunter,” due out in August; “The Fall Guy” alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt; and Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated “Nosferatu.” Mackenzie’s 2016 neo-Western “Hell or High Water” scored four Oscar noms, including best picture, and he’s also set to direct “Relay” starring Lily James, Riz Ahmed and Sam Worthington.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen starred in the Netflix anthology series The Haunting of Hill House in 2018, which gave him a global platform.
The actor is now reflecting how fame can be so ephemeral in the streaming era of television.
“[Being] Netflix famous…It’s quite an interesting thing,” Jackson-Cohen told The Independent in a recent interview. “You’re the most famous person in the world for a while and then the next show comes along and that completely takes over.”
Jackson-Cohen would star in a second season of the Mike Flanagan anthology series titled The Haunting of Bly Manor in 2020. The actor said that following the success of the shows, he started receiving scripts that were “all the same thing, just watered-down, less good versions” of the series he had starred in.
Following his work with Netflix, Jackson-Cohen has starred in Apple TV+’s Surface and Prime Video’s Wilderness. The actor has...

A hybrid gangster film and deep rooted family drama played out across the course of two days, Jamie Childs’ Jackdaw opens with the full force of the North Sea and, at its conclusion, finds the same power in an actor’s face. It’s a gritty thriller with great performances, some lively comic touches and a sense of conviction which will keep your attention fixed on the screen throughout.
The sea – specifically, a buoy near a wind farm, whose thunderous noise provides an eerie backdrop – is where we first see Jack Dawson (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) in a yellow canoe, forcing his way through angry waves. When he reaches the appointed spot he dives, retrieves a package, but on getting back to the surface he find himself being pursued by two figures on jetskis. A dangerous chase follows which doesn’t let up when he’s back on the mainland and on the motocross bike.
