William Daniels makes a cameo appearance at the end of this episode. He filmed two scenes, but only one appeared. Due to his abrupt disappearance, many fans questioned whether or not Mr. Feeny was alive or dead. According to Michael Jacobs, Feeny is, in fact, alive, and the moment references Cory and Feeny's final conversation in Brave New World: Part 2 (2000).
Riley asks her father if he would ever do anything like the homework rebellion. Cory did do something very similar in Jonathan Turner's class (in Me and Mr. Joad (1994).
