The Bering Strait is a narrow channel between Asia and North America or the Pacific and Artic Oceans. Once a land bridge between the continents allowing the population of the Americas, it had until recently been a curiosity due to it's remoteness. But it may become a major trade route as the Arctic becomes less congested with ice.—David Foss
