The program is off to a fantastic start, showcasing the strength and prowess of a champion against a massive golem and setting them against the backdrop of a world populated by delicate creatures. It set itself up for success, what with the promise of a tournament with a cast of personalities like this one.

But for the most part this season, that is not the main focus. That's not why I came here; instead, we concentrate on a battle between the Aureatia Kingdom and the New Principality of Lethia. Though you've included individuals whose roles in the narrative make most militaries superfluous, I still enjoy a good war story. You've shown that, in contrast to these fighters, the majority of this world is composed of soggy cardboard, and you've promised a tournament to see who is the strongest.

Slow start, then good

After all the introduction of characters which almost takes half of the season, the story kicks off and each characters motives slowly become clearer. There is definitely depth here and some of the dialogues are meaningful and intense which I like. Some awesome fighting scenes here, too. Music and artwork are decent, but not particularly memorable. What stands out are the characters with their individual powers and backgrounds.

I wished for more episodes to explore more of every character and also the history of the two kingdoms if Lithia and Aureatia though because sometimes things seem a bit too compact.

Nonetheless, a good show that I recommend to anyone who is not into brainless action and straightforward good vs evil storylines.
