I have critisized the last 2 episodes from moving too far away from the comedy to focus on dramatic moments.
This week the show is back to focusing on Comedy again. Let's be honest, we are (most of us) watching the show to give us something to laugh at in tough times and most of us do not tune in to be preached to or made to feel bad or sad about the characters in the show. You want that, there are plenty of dramas out there.
This week Woodstone returns from helll torment the Ghosts and beg for Hetty's forgiveness. Without spoiling it, there is a thing with Pete that happens but I don't feel sorry for him because, true to his character, he lets his naivete and good intentions, lead him down a path of foolish decisions and the Ghosts have to get him out of trouble. The whole situation and resolution is not hilarous as in earlier seasons but it does deliver some good comedic moments.
Meanwhile Jay is having to take a hit of 'Flower' to impress a food critic. This subplot is the best and funniest part of this episode and the ending really caused me to give an extra point to my vote.
I hope they get back on track as I really enjoy this show and not many good comedies are on air anymore.
