"Grant Me Serenity..." gave us a huge amount of development and that is something we really need from this show. The comedy is always going to be there and is very easy to fall back on, but the real struggles and issues with sobriety is what keeps people tuned in.
Sam struggling without her sponsor is the kind of thing that another show may glimpse over, but is absolutely important in the grand scheme of things.
I just can't stand the Felicia character and think she brings little to nothing to the table. I wish they would recast the best friend with someone else, but I think the ship has sailed on that one.
