I was looking forward to finding out who killed Alberta. I thought it was a good idea that all the ghosts came together around the murder board and each share a small detail that would eventually solve the mystery. Unfortunately it turned out Hetty knew all along whodunnit. Maybe they are planning something interesting going forward now that Alberta is angry at Hetty but I think it was a missed opportunity to solve it like this. Plus the only funny parts were the one where Sam was talking to the new editor and Isaac's side comments (which are always very funny).
The second story of the Nigerian prince wasn't that funny either. It's hardly the first time the ghosts mess with the computer. Seems to me that Sam and Jay should be more careful about it by now. It's a good idea that the ghosts get in trouble for not knowing things about present time (since they can't go outside of the mansion) but the Nigerian prince scam isn't the best option imo. Plus I thought Trevor was too smart to fall for it. He was a stock broker so he should have been more suspicious about this miraculous monetary opportunity.
I still love this show but I wish there was more focus on the ghosts afterlife. It's almost the end of the second season and we still don't know many things about it. For example, why do some ghosts have powers and not others? Why are they stuck in the mansion? Why can't they move on? We also don't know some basic details like how did Hetty and Sas die.
I also think that there are opportunities for some fun with the B&B guests and Sam and Jay's lives outside the mansion that the writers can explore. I especially enjoy the parts were Sam and Jay benefit from Sam's ability to interact with the ghosts. The scene in which Sam was talking to the editor and was given the real information from the ghost was fun to watch.
