I'm enjoying this series... I'm actually enjoying it more than the UK version, but that's probably because I starting watching the US one first.
I heard there was a cliffhanger for this episode and thought it would be with the inheritance, but that wrapped up rather quickly. It did seem a bit lame how they blindly accepted things in the first place, but I'll give it a pass as it fits its offbeat offbeat comedy style. I still think they could have done it better though.
That said, it was fun enough, and the cliffhanger ended up being someone getting "sucked off". A bit of a ho hum cliffhanger tbh, as it could just as easily be prom girl or one of the basement dwellers than one of the main cast.
Nigel makes most sense from storyline perspective, but with the writer's strike and the possibility that some actors move on, it does give the writers some flexibility (which other showrunners must envy). I suspect nothing is set in stone until strike is over and all actors are on board.
