No purpose...yet

I mean this in the nicest possible way: what is the point of any of this?

This series started with the premise of an obituary clerk who can speak to the dead, and the consequences of that, but the dead characters now act like minor annoyances to help move the plot along, with the novelty of the whole "speak to the dead" thing quickly wearing off.

Instead, this series has become a weird friend-love triangle and the main character butting into the private lives of her friends, and it's all pleasant enough, but it's in no way compelling viewing.

If it wants to stick around, there has got to be an upping in the stakes. "Will the main character remain friends with her roommate" isn't really "enough" for me to keep watching this series much longer.

The main character speaks with the dead, maybe lean more heavily into that concept??

Warning: Spoilers
I see a lot of low scores for this one and maybe more people are catching on and seeing what I am seeing with this show.

Not Dead Yet has all of the potential in the world, but just continues to absolutely disappoint.

There was a potentially fun story here as Nell was dealing with a deceased married couple that had a big secret, and had to deal with it all while sick in bed. That was the perfect making for something special.

Instead the episode was mostly laugh-free and not exciting enough.

The Lexi character continues to be absolutely all over the place and I just don't know week to week what we're going to get.
