S6.E22 - Great Episode to End the Season [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S6. E22) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 22 ''Love's Labor''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Lea is about to give birth, that's exciting. What the hell happened? A car accident? Is Daniel ok? Daniel doesn't want opioids for the pain because he wants to stay sober, that sucks, he is in pain. Lea is about to give birth and Shaun is doing surgeries? That's not good. Dr. Andrews could lose his job? That's awful and all of that because he wants to help with the nurses. Jordan gave Fentanyl to Daniel and he is mad about it, my opinion is that Jordan did the right thing. Morgan is about to quit her job so that she can take care of Eden, that's bad and good at the same time. These two girls just lost their dad, that's brutal. Morgan and Alex are back together? I saw that coming. Dr. Glassman didn't even come to see the baby? That sucks. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

Emotional but flawed

Warning: Spoilers
It was a good episode, with some problems that I had a hard time ignoring. Spoilers from here on.

I was rather disappointed that they sort of brushed over the birth. Sure, there's not a whole lot that can be done with a birthing scene that haven't been done before, but still. I would've loved to see Shaun experiencing this clearly emotional moment.

It was also a letdown how Glassman handled the situation. I get that he's mad at Shaun and is hurt, but A, Leah did nothing to him, and she was alone while starting labour, not long after experiencing a miscarriage and Glassman was acting like it's no big deal. B, Shaun is like his son. Can't he be mad but also a supportive grandfather? This is not a moment that can be redone if missed.

But mostly, it was a really annoying mistake on the ambulance crew's part how they handled the accident. The get into a crash in the middle of a tunnel. And they just start treating the injured like it's the most natural thing in the world, with ZERO regard to oncoming traffic.

Even on an open road the first thought should be on safety, not the injured. Yes, every second can count e.g. If someone's airway is compromised. But it's pointless to free an airway if both the injured and the helper are flattened into a pancake by the next car... Now in a tunnel it's pretty obvious that the next driver from either side will have no clue what they are heading toward. So the absolute first thing should've been to run like heck toward both ends of the tunnel if anyone is still standing, and signal any way you can that noone should enter, and at the same time calling for help if you can, with a special and emphatic mention that you need police on the scene as fast as possible. THEN go and triage the injured. Otherwise what happened in the episode is pretty much guaranteed to happen.

Ok season

Warning: Spoilers
I agree with most of what lousha-1 said about the episode but come on the part about safety.. and I have no idea what they should do but taking 2 people to go on both ends of the tunnel and just signal people made no sense.. they were only 2 docs Kalu and Perez and 1 nurse Jerome..

as for everything else.. Glassy is behaving like a child.. I get it.. Shawn kind snitched on him but sooner or later he would have made a mistake and kill someone.. so, after the initial shock of not operating anymore, he should have come to the conclusion it was for the best.. dude didnt

morgan and park.. i dont even remember why they broke up in the first place.. i think park just got annoyed she was rich and i dont remember whatever but it was over something stupid.. like him thinking it would go nowhere.. but they basically didnt have anything else to do besides interacting with each other LOL

Lin was the same.. she had her situation after the surgery.. the most bizarre part was her interactions with the lieutenant doctor.. come on now, lin was in a wheelchair and could not operate whereas the vet had like an amputation below her knee of one leg.. so she could walk normally with a limp and still operate non problem.. she did not get what lin was going through at all

oh yeah the perez situation.. so, the guy receiving opioides because he was almost dying is similar to him getting high so now he needs to go back to his hometown to get over the addiction? Really? It is not the same as him voluntarily get the drugs to get high.. but anyway.. with him gone, t he other doc will be back to having no arc anymore

I dont know;; I think this show has lost its mojo for a few seasons now.. just like chicago pd with hank voight the boyscout.
