DARKNESS COMES is a terrible little Scottish indie, set in a single grubby room, much like SAW. There's barely any kind of plot, just physical action as a man hooks up with a sexually progressive young woman only to discover that she wants more than his body; she's after his blood. He then spends the rest of the film in captivity, occasionally chatting to BRAVEHEART actor James Cosmo on the telephone. The whole thing is slow and amateurish, the kind of thing that you wonder just what on earth they intended when making it.
