Well done Krya Films!

Warning: Spoilers
A great film - forget the big budget films of similar ilk like salaam Bombay and the grander slumdog millionaire - and just for once, it was not set in Mumbai:) This film is so much more closer to real life struggles of those who have not. The streetwise old lady who is dying of aids takes Manjula under her wings as replacement surrogate son who she left behind and guilt ridden. The kind baker who took pity and fed Manjula. Manjula is a sweet innocent kid who somehow makes friends with everyone including the street boys who were once her enemy. The holi scenes and generally the film is shot beautifully. The ending - well i am not sure how she managed to find home but glad she did and happy again - although she was never once appeared sad given her lot. I watched this film as part of the London Film Festival - and still thinking about it two days later - thats how good it was. Well done Krya films!
