    Complete disappointment

Expected to have some laughs with this movie. It was an attempt at slapstick comedy, the like of Aadu and Aadu 2 which have been successful in the recent times. But this movie doesn't do any justice to the comedy genre. There is no believable story, characters, or plot points to talk about. The story goes through apparently unconnected events and tries to bring some synergy to them all, but it fails miserably across the board. To the people enjoying the comedy genre, this is not even a one-time watch. The only redeeming aspect of the movie is its length which is just about 1.5 hours. That makes it somewhat tolerable.

    A Disaster in Every Frame

Pattapakal is an absolute disaster, a film that defies logic, coherence, and even basic entertainment value. From the very first scene, it becomes painfully clear that the writers had no idea what kind of story they wanted to tell. The plot meanders aimlessly, throwing in unnecessary subplots, cringe-worthy dialogues, and forced emotional moments that fail miserably. The lead actor delivers a performance so wooden that even a plank of wood would show more expression. The heroine exists solely as a decorative element, contributing nothing substantial to the narrative, while the villain's antics are more laughable than menacing. The direction is a masterclass in how not to make a movie, with bizarre camera angles, choppy editing, and pacing that tests the limits of human patience. At times, scenes drag on for eternity, making you question your life choices, while crucial moments are rushed as if the filmmakers just wanted to get it over with. The background score desperately tries to create emotion but instead adds an unintentional layer of comedy, making already ridiculous moments even worse. Even the cinematography, which could have salvaged a bit of the wreckage, is a complete letdown, featuring poorly lit scenes and angles that serve no artistic purpose. Pattapakal is not just bad-it's a cinematic trainwreck that leaves you exhausted and regretful. Watching paint dry would be a more engaging experience. Avoid it at all costs unless you enjoy torturing yourself for no reason.

    💤💤💤

The Malayalam film "Pattappakal" is unsatisfactory in multiple aspects. There are neither compelling plot twists nor emotional depth in this story, which makes it frustratingly lackluster. Because there is little character development, it is difficult for the audience to relate to or feel anything for the protagonists. The movie's timing is also erratic, with a few plodding and slow passages that break the flow. The dialogue frequently comes across as forced and artificial, falling short of capturing the genuineness of casual discussions. The bad writing and direction contribute to the lackluster performances, even with the best of intentions from the performers. "Pattappakal" is a mediocre contribution to Malayalam film, failing to make a lasting impression overall.

    Pathetic is an understatement!

This is easily the worst Malayalam movie I have ever seen. I couldn't bear to watch post interval. That itself was very difficult. I have never ever seen a Malayalam movie with such lame jokes. There is no plot of course and generally the scenes are as disjointed as you can imagine. What a shame!!! This movie is exactly opposite to how Malayalam movie makers consider the audience smart at large; here you are supposed to be dim witted I guess. What else can explain the zero plot, very poor scenes, bad editing and overacting galore. Earnestly hope in the hurry to join the lately talked about Malayalam industry, we don't get such stuff from half baked movie makers.

    Highly recommended to keep away!!!

Decent choice for a light-hearted watch

Pattaapakal strings together a series of comedic incidents involving two friends, a minister, a gangster, and four small-time criminals. The film offers a fair amount of fun and entertainment, making it a decent choice for a light-hearted watch.

While the movie delivers on humor, it also has its shortcomings. There are poorly made scenes, a few lackluster performances, and some initial scenes that appear abruptly edited. Despite these flaws, there are moments that stand out.

Ramesh Pisharody and Renji Panicker's scenes manage to evoke a few laughs. Sudhi Koppa's song is a highlight. The cast, including Krishna Shankar, Johny Antony, Prashant Murali, and Gokulan, perform their roles as expected. Nothing much to do.

With a duration of less than two hours, Pattaapakal avoids dragging and maintains a good tempo throughout. Overall, it's a decent watch for those seeking light-hearted entertainment without too many expectations.
