- The textual theme of Aakrant is socially and culturally constructed on exclusions leading to marginalization of individuals and communities on the basis of identity markers. The narrative of Aakrant revisits the rhythm of tribal life which is lost somewhere in the discourse of multiculturalism and globalization. The film is a silent scream of tribal consciousness, a journey of discovering passion for justice and equality for those who are marginalized and fighting for their existence.—Vinod Kumar
- Bandhan is a simple tribal living in the forest along with his wife Phoolmani and son Teju.
