I liked it to an 8/10, but the sound issue makes me subtract a star. It's found for free on Youtube as it's a bit old and outdated. The Italian interviews have full audio and with a soft voice English overlay. Which makes it hard to hear anything. But besides that it's pretty great. We follow the cops as they track down the mafia in Calabria from about 2007 to 2013. Some huge bosses were captured there and we see them being dragged out from their bunkers by the cops. They live underground in bunkers as you can't really live in the open as a mafia boss today. And the narrator is crawling all around old bunkers from house to house. They open walls and floors to reveals a tunnel or living space. All connected to some other tunnel and escape hatches. The shots are amazing and great work. It's not just interviews. We also have an amazing intro to their harbor business. Of course I couldn't hear much of it. But we hear how the mafia is transporting huge batches of cocaine into the country worth billions. And taxing every container via protection money. We also see a spy plane used against the mafia. The plane films cars and houses in Calabria.
We see quite a few big bosses captured. Some of course easily escaped again a few years later as they have money and connections. Or their prison sentences are short as the evidence is flimsy. Like, everyone knows what they do. But getting witnesses is extremely hard as it's very dangerous to snitch on the mafia. Great doc about that time period.

This is more a look on the right now hence I'm still confused about all historical factors. But it's way better than the average mafia doc. While not historical it has its merits. I just wish I had more clear guides to this stuff. We don't really see anyone in prison and don't see what happens to these bosses. They are just captured.
