November 3, 2013, Cleveland, Ohio: Lieutenant William Walker, age 45, of the Cleveland Fire Department, is gunned down by a shooter while outside on his driveway. As the firefighter fades away, Walker tells the Emergency Medical Technicians as much as he can about the suspect who ambushed him. In the end, Walker's wife of 4 months, Uloma Curry-Walker, was found guilty in 2017 of a murder-for-hire plot to kill her husband. Curry-Walker paid her daughter's boyfriend, Chad Padgett, about $1000 as a down-payment on the murder. Chad Padgett then hired his cousin Chris Hein to do the murder. An October 2013 attempt on Walker's life failed. Next, Ryan Dorty was selected to carry out the homicide. All parties involved pleaded guilty and testified against Curry-Walker at trial. Curry-Walker's motive was to collect money on William Walker's life insurance policy.
