Brilliant idea! But poor execution...
D4hen14 April 2023
This a different take on Kurdish TV shows throughout its history and a promising one too, the idea of a modern Kurdish girl traveling through time and going back to the 1980s seems quite interesting, but also comes with a lot of responsibility considering the historical and cultural aspects of it. For example the entire series is being told on almost only two locations, the home of the modern Kurdish girl (shanya), and the house of the 1980s family, meaning We don't really see the life of a Kurdish family in 1983, or streets and bazars of old Erbil or life in Erbil's citadel before it was abandoned, the series does not show us that it just talks about it, so i think it would've been great if we actually saw how life was back then.

In terms of technical areas, such as acting. I must say I'm not really impressed, not because they're bad actors but because the director hasn't given them much about their characters and their role in the story, most of the actors don't really understand what they're doing and some of them just act poorly. But i have to give a shoutout to Danie Qadir(ruheyza), Sirwan Osman(sirwan) and Vanya Salar(shanya). Another issue is that some actors from slemani tend to speak in hawleri accent, and some actors form hawler tend to speak in slemani accent which is not quite successful because i thinks each actor should act in his own accent as long as they're not %100 fluent in other accents.

The lighting, camera movements, script and also the editing all lack cinematic aspects and are executed poorly, but i must say the the costumes and production design of 1983 were beautiful and truly depicted that time.

The poster of the series is also wrong, because the word "Diwar" is one word in kurdish, and you can't really divide it into three parts: Di W Ar It's not like United States of America (USA).

In the end i want to say that this a good step for kurdish TV Shows to improve in terms of plot and narrative, and get out of the same cycle they have been in for the last 40 or 50 years, again the problem is not with actors but rather the directors. Because here in Kurdistan we lack true cinematic storytelling and direction, but i hope with this new generation coming this would Improve too!

For kurdistan perfect but internationally it's weak
srwshgamer23 April 2023
I've watched it all it's a very good show with very good cast it's a Revolution for kurdish cinema i didn't expect kurdish casts have that power and very good acting but there are some weak plots that the director needed to put focus on like irrelevant answers to questions and Repeated lines in one conversations and another weakness is there's no outside filming it would be great if they filmed outside too i l know the name is 8 walls that means inside 2 houses but the outside filming would make it a 9/10 and to the point i have no idea if there's season 2 to the show if there's that would be Good for revealing the mysteries.

A sad end was perfect for the tv show. And in the tv show was allsow funny scenes. I really loved how the actors act they act sad and allsow they act funny and I wanna see the actors more in Kurdish cinema . At the end thanks to the actors and thanks tho the directors.

An excellent work
ahmeddoghramachi16 April 2023
It is an excellent work with available stuff and production team. The only problem i see is lack of a bit experience in montage. I wait more from the great producer to produce more works like that. That is a challenging idea to bring past and present in a work while most of the crew doesn't have that much class experience and what i saw is a perfect work they did and I congratulate all the staff that did this great work. I thank them deeply and i wish that i could see more kurdish works like this and continue tgis great work. I hope that this series at least be available in Arabic Subtitle or English Subtitle in order more people watch a kurdish production and get prout from what we did archive.

Special thanks to whoever reads my comment peace upon you all ✌🏻

Definitely one of the best

I recently had the pleasure of watching a truly remarkable movie that I cannot stop raving about. From beginning to end, it captivated me with its stunning visuals, incredible performances and a storyline that was both heartwarming and thought-provoking. I would give this film a 10/10 rating without hesitation.

One of the first things that struck me about this movie was its visual imagery. Every shot was beautifully composed, and the use of color and lighting was absolutely breathtaking. Even the smallest details seemed to have been carefully considered to create a visually stunning and immersive experience.

But what truly sets this film apart is its exceptional cast. The lead actors delivered outstanding performances that were both nuanced and emotionally resonant. They brought a depth and authenticity to their roles that made the story feel real and genuine. I was completely invested in their journey from start to finish.

Finally, the story itself was simply amazing. It was a tale of love, hope, and perseverance that left me feeling inspired and uplifted. The writing was intelligent and thought-provoking, exploring complex themes in a way that was both accessible and moving.

Overall, I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. It is a true masterpiece that deserves all the accolades it has received and more. If you are looking for a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll, then look no further than this one.

Evaluation of performances, productions, stories and screenplay
landisanu22 April 2023
A low-level dialogue drama is ungrammatical and the subject of the drama is weak and the director's very bad performance has come to put on a play and wear a camera that makes viewers think they don't distinguish between theatre and TV series The author has tried to imitate the dark series in a bad way that there is a lot of time to waste and prolong dialogue and see more. A long old classical style of casting is bad and based on father and son kinship and friendship.

The name of the drama is misspelled in the design in Kurdish language you don't have to cut the word in this way (8 Di W AR) But it is written like this (8 Diwar)

What Makes My Father a Great Personality

I have realized that you don't have to be super famous to have a great personality. You can be an ordinary person and still have the greatest personality. My father is a great personality as he considers everyone's feelings in my family.

He makes us feel equally important and takes the advice of every one of us, no matter the age. He follows the simplest of rules and never refuses those who come seeking help at our door.

My father has a soft heart and that is something I strive to have. He does not raise his voice ever and treats everyone with kindness. In addition, my father is a unique personality who serves as a good ci.
