Solid First Steps

Beautiful 2D animation and style reminiscent of Cartoon Saloon (Secret of Kells, Wolfwalkers, Song of The Sea). Music is pretty solid too. The children's voice actors are pretty solid-which is great, because they are the main characters. The adult voice actors are a lot weaker, both in dialogue and performance, but the intrigue of the overarching narrative carries them through it. Sometimes the pacing is a little off-drags in places where brevity is needed, and rushed in places where the plot and scene need time to breathe.

Overall, though, I really enjoy watching it with my kids. The show holds their attention, appeals to their sense of magic and wonder, and presents likable young characters they can relate to. We will continue to watch this show. Excited to see where it goes. It's a very solid showing for Bentkey.

Great animation, fun story

I'm watching this show with my son on BentKey, and he is just loving it. I find the story to be classic but told really well. The art of the show is great 2D art, reminds me some new cell shading crossed with classic cartoon art. My son is always excited to tell me that a new episode is reales es. The character list is the classic Fantasy lineup the lost hero, the wise guide, the muscle, the magic user, the crazy witch teacher with an equally good villain lineup. The story is simple and the teachings are fantastic. Overall I think show tells a great story all the while looking good and the voice acting is excellent.

Great for the Whole Family

This show is for kids around 6-13 so far. The acting is good enough and the animation is a pretty unique style that I like. Like most shows, it begins a little awkwardly paced (only four episodes have been released as of my writing this). I will be interested to see how it improves.

It reminded my son and I of Avatar: The Last Airbender, but I couldn't tell you why, other than the target audience and the 2D animation.

The story follows a young man (a boy, honestly) who is on the run from some people who don't want him to inherit a dukedom. He discovers he has a special power to invoke runes and do magic spells, and it looks like the ultimate nemesis is Loki, the god of chaos. So, it has some pagan magic in it and that is probably the worst thing. As long as your kiddo knows the truth about magic, it's just a fun story.
