Title suits the show

Over the years i've seen lots of great performers, magicians, illusionists but the things Jonathan Goodwin does in this show are truly sensational. None of the stunts shown here are illusions or tricks, they have been mastered by hours and hours of practice. Most of the stunts (If not all) blow your mind away and the viewer ends up seeing something that can be categorized in once in a lifetime experience. This show proves the phrase "practice makes a man perfect". This is a short series but its enough to give the audience a truly breath taking experience. This show is really worth watching and makes you realize what hard work and dedication can help you achieve.

Strangely non-scary

Warning: Spoilers
I really liked Jonathan Goodwin the first time he was on TV a few years ago. He was geeky and the escapes he did were slightly rubbish - in a good way. So the jeopardy he faced was, for example, will his family and friends see him naked tied to a sack truck in a lift. It was funny and entertaining.

Now, he hangs from helicopters or cable cars, and generally appears to risk life in the most extreme ways 5 times an episode - and yet I feel no sense of jeopardy! Probably because the stunts are so extreme that you feel they can't possibly be all they seem to be, otherwise he would be dead one way or another. Disappointing.

The Ridiculous Mr Goodwin

I mean to give no implication what so ever that this man does not do his stunts. I believe his stunts to be 100% real. That's pretty incredible. The thing that fails this show is the cringly editing and the clichéd "Something's gone wrong" moments for suspense. This man reminds me of a child not receiving a lot of attention in his childhood and figured out doing ridiculous stunts that no sane person would want to do was what gained him attention. You can honestly tell from his wife's body language when being interviewed that she means the exact opposite of what she's speaking. I truly believe she absolutely despises his job, and has put up with it so long that she's able to contain her hysterics. The show is entertaining enough but we're not laughing with you.
