Peter, Dicta's son (now with the new kidney) becomes the center of this episode. After interviewing a politician, Dicte is near a cosmetologist's shop when it explodes. Dicte thinks the explosion is intended for the lady being interviewed but instead a young employee dies. This leads to an investigation and the discovery of Peter's fingerprint. He becomes the prime suspect. All through this there is more and more evidence against him until the startling conclusion of the first part. Dicte again continues to feel she was a terrible person for letting go of her little boy (she really was at the mercy of the adults in her life). She comes to realize that Peter and his sister were kept in a sort of orphanage. Dicte is conflicted as she tries to be there for someone who may have committed the ultimate crime.
