- One castaway learns a secret that will potentially change the game.
- Previously on 'Survivor': After the merge, everyone set out to make big moves. Corrine and Malcolm, though, were putting theirs into action. They formed a secret alliance to try to break up "Stealth R Us," with Corrine bringing in Michael while Malcolm brought in Reynold, Eddie and Erik. Cochran won immunity and Sherri became the target. But Dawn learned of Corrine's plan to oust Eddie or Reynold, "Stealth R Us" pulled together to blindside Corrine, who was stunned and Malcolm and his group were left hanging.
Back at camp: Things are fairly quiet the following morning at camp. Reynold tells us he thinks the previous night was a victory, even though Corrine was part of his new counter-alliance. He and Eddie then start talking about how, as Reynold puts it, "every girl who gets associated with us gets voted out." They ask each other who's next, and target Andrea. Reynold asks Andrea what her strategy is, and he flirts with her a bit.
Malcolm tells us he's happy he still has the only idol that nobody knows about in the game. Eddie and Reynold are still with him. He says everyone thought they killed the head of the snake, but "they don't know they missed yet."
Phillip is trying to work some smooth moves of his own on Sherri, telling her he thought she was "hot" when he first saw her on the beach. He tells her it's going to be sweet revenge when the boys who thought they could come after her learn otherwise. Phillip tells us Sherri is "with us" in terms of her voting. He then inducts her into "Stealth R Us." He gives her the name "Tenacity." She plays along while telling us it's "all crazy." She says that if she and Phillip can get two more votes, she'll be calling the shots with him.
Reward challenge: The players will be split into two teams of five. One player on each team will defend a goal from a platform above the water, while another player tries to throw the ball past them and into the net while jumping from a different platform.
Each team has one designated defender and four shooters.
The purple team's shooters are Erik, Eddie, Reynold and Cochran. The orange team's shooters are Dawn, Phillip, Andrea and Brenda. Defending for purple is Michael, and Malcolm is defending for the orange team. The first team to score four times wins reward: rappelling down a waterfall and eating a nice picnic lunch.
Malcolm stops Eddie's first shot for purple. Brenda scores for orange and Erik scores for purple to even it. Andrea scores for orange for a 2-1 lead. Reynold misses for purple and Dawn misses for orange. Cochran scores for purple to tie it 2-2. Phillip scores for orange to take a 3-2 lead, but Reynold ties it up 3-3. Brenda misses a shot for orange. With a chance to win it, Erik puts one over Malcolm's head to win it.
Cochran, Eddie, Reynold, Erik and Michael enjoy their reward, with Cochran surprising himself with his willingness and ability to rappel down the waterfall.
Michael, Reynold and Eddie try to convince Cochran to join up with them as a guys' alliance. Cochran tells us that these guys must not know him very well by trying to appeal to some "we're men" kind of thing.
"I don't want be engaging in any sort of masculine tomfoolery with these numbskulls," he adds.
Back at camp: Malcolm isn't too torn up about losing the challenge, saying he's now around the people he most needs to be around. He needs to "scoop up the people on the bottom," and he's looking at Sherri and Dawn.
He talks to Sherri first and tries to convince her to join him. He then goes to Dawn and tells her that if they're going to do something, "it has to be now." Dawn tells us she's now thinking Malcolm is "going to be a problem." She's going to try to convince him she's voting his way, but pull together a voting bloc to take him out.
Sherri talks to Andrea about Malcolm's plan, and Dawn is there. Andrea agrees they should tell him they're going along with his plan and vote him out.
Phillip finds out and tells us that Malcolm is trying to play double duty and trying to play him. He says they're going to vote Malcolm out.
Eddie and Andrea spend some time alone together and she starts thinking he could give her information. He tells her he can be an asset to her. He then tells us that he thinks Andrea wants to keep him around and he just needs "to be dragged two or three more votes" before he can start standing on his own. She asks him to give him whatever information he has about hidden idols, and he agrees.
Immunity challenge: The players are going to be placed in the water under grates. As the tide rises, they will have less and less space between the water's surface and the grates above their heads. The last player remaining wins immunity.
After 30 minutes, they're running out of space and have just a few inches. After an hour in the water, it is starting to press against the grates and their heads, at times, are submerged as the water ebbs and flows around them.
Phillip is the first player out. Sherri and Erik soon follow. Dawn pushes herself, but opts out. Malcolm and Michael follow.
Later, Eddie, Cochran and Reynold are all out within seconds of each other. Dawn is excited as it's down to just two girls: Andrea and Brenda.
Andrea begins to struggle as the water is well over her head. She eventually, after several attempts to duck under and resurface for air, drops out. Brenda, who never moved throughout the entire challenge, wins immunity.
Back at camp: Everyone was happy for Brenda at the challenge and still happy for her at camp. Malcolm tells us the next vote has to be the turning point that he's waiting for.
Andrea pulls him aside and tells him how the votes are being split. Malcolm thinks he's convincing Andrea he's on board with her, but she's trying to convince him the same thing. They're lying to each other. Afterward, Malcolm talks to Dawn about wanting to vote out Andrea. Andrea, knowing that Malcolm is trying to pull Dawn in, says she's impressed with Dawn's duplicity.
Malcolm tells Dawn that Reynold has an idol. She says that if she can see the idol, she'll join him, "but I'll never be able to look anybody in the eye again."
Dawn then tells us "it's nuts" that Malcolm is still trusting her after she was the one who gave up the information on Corrine. She says that tells her he's "not dialed in."
Malcolm goes and tells Reynold how the vote is being split and that he needs to go show Dawn his idol to get her on board. Reynold is happy to do it and giddy when he learns that they're going to vote out Andrea.
Reynold goes and shows Dawn the idol, and tells her that if she doesn't follow through, he's going home, "so don't screw me." He says that if he has reason to doubt her, he'll play it for himself.
Dawn immediately tells us she doesn't like people who intimidate other people, and she thinks Reynold is used to being in control and getting what he wants.
Eddie tries to get some info from Andrea, who plays coy. She tells him he isn't going home, but refuses to tell him any more details. She won't tell him if it's Michael or Malcolm but says, "it's not Malcolm." He tells her that if Reynold plays his idol, he (Eddie) will go home. He then say she doesn't know if Reynold has an idol. Eddie turns it on Andrea and says her name as come up, and he says he's trying to avoid that.
Andrea, crying, tells us she's "going home tonight." She's struggling to think of a way to change things up. She goes to Cochran and says they should switch up to a "safe" vote and take out Michael. Cochran tells her that's fine, but tells us he doesn't like that she was so easily willing to give up the aggressive play of taking out Malcolm.
Dawn tries to convince Andrea not to abandon the plan and assures her that Malcolm doesn't have an idol. Dawn then tells Andrea that "someone" showed her an idol just to prove that their plan was safe. Andrea says, "I can change it" (referring to the last-minute switch to vote Michael out).
Tribal Council: Michael says he was reassured a bit that a Favorite went home last. Phillip reveals that his strategy incorporated "Stealth R Us." He then reveals that Sherri is a new member. Jeff clarifies that it's really Michael, Reynold and Eddie, and Sherri reminds everyone that those three have written her name down so, "payback's a bitch."
Phillp says that if anyone is suspected of having an idol, they'll go home. Andrea says that if the right person gets the right numbers, they can change the game. Phillip keeps referring to flushing out anyone who's thinking of making a brave move. Malcolm looks concerned and a little confused.
The vote: Malcolm writes down Reynold's name and says, "The idea was that this was a throw-away vote, but after Phillip's little speech I don't know what's going on anymore. Hopefully this whole thing goes according to plan."
Jeff asks for anyone wanting to play a hidden immunity idol to give it up. Reynold stands up and starts walking toward Jeff, and Malcolm says, "Hold up, man. They all voted for me.
"You can tell. That's what that whole story was about. Give it to me, we're in good shape," he adds.
"I'm being dead serious right now," Malcolm says after Reynold pauses.
"Yeah," Reynold says, tossing his idol into the hands of a guy who just wrote his name down.
Malcolm hands the idol to Jeff and Phillip wipes his brow. Reynold looks tense. Any votes cast for Malcolm will not count.
Jeff reads the votes: Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Reynold, Michael, Michael, Michael, Michael, Michael, and the 10th person voted out is Michael. Reynold looks a little upset.
Michael turns and says, "You turkeys," before flipping them the bird and walking away.
Michael's last words: "It has been a long, strange, weird, difficult journey. It's over. What can I say? Very disappointed. I wanted to go far and deep into the game, and I thought I could but the Favorites are great players. They really are tight and they're playing hard and strong. I know it's going to bust up eventually, but here I am. It's a bummer."
