- All bets are off when Bikal and Gota merge, as castaways reunite to plot a potential blindside in the new tribe.
- Previously on 'Survivor': A tribe switch resulted in numbers advantages for the Favorites on both new tribes. At Bikal, Phillip and Corrine were still feuding. Phillip didn't like Corrine's constant conversations with Michael. At Gota, Malcolm started to pull together an alliance with himself, Erik, Reynold and Eddie. Bikal lost the challenge and Phillip tried to convince Cochran that he threw it on purpose. He and Corrine continued feuding, but rather than follow Phillip's desire to oust Michael, the rest of the tribe went Corrine's way and voted out Julia.
Back at Bikal: Michael tells everyone how glad he is to be saved. Corrine is giddy and tells us "Michael is mine." Phillip, then, pulls Corrine and Dawn to tell them that he threw the challenge. They nod along but Corrine tells us there was no point in telling him it was obvious he didn't blow it on purpose. Dawn and Corrine then go aside and agree on how annoying it is that he wouldn't just admit he did poorly in the challenge.
The next morning, Corrine talks about how the other Fans don't really have brains, except for Michael. Dawn is anticipating a merge and getting emotional while thinking about how this was the point at which the game turned on her last time. She goes off to the well by herself to cry, telling us she knows it's kind of funny that she cries so much. She says it's hard not to get emotional when she thinks of what the million dollars could do for her family. She says she needs to be a decision maker in this game instead of letting the game happen to her.
Gota camp: A boat heads toward shore. One of the men on the boat hands Sherri a note that tells the players to pack their things and head for their new home. It's merge time.
Amanda tells us she's excited, "but I have to be on my toes."
The boat then brings the players to the Bikal camp, which triggers excitement on the beach.
Reynold says he wasn't sure how players would be received, but there was "a nice, warm welcome." They all open a chest that reveals new green buffs and a feast. The players eat and drink together and start talking about names for the tribe. Malcolm suggests "Enil Edam," and tells us he just wanted to give a shout out to his mom, Madeline. (Spell it backward).
Phillip immediately pulls Andrea aside and tells her that they need to get rid of the powerful men from the Fans group quickly. Andrea tells us the first vote is "not a huge deal" because there are eight Favorites and four Fans.
Corrine and Malcolm chat about what they can do. He tells us that his "fragile six-person alliance" isn't solid enough. Corrine suggests they take out Sherri first, then Phillip. She has Michael and he tells her he has Eddie and Reynold.
Cochran reads tree mail that suggests an eating challenge. Reynold is nervous, saying that eating disgusting things is his "one weakness."
Eddie is worried about how it'll look to women if they know he's eaten weird things. Cochran is annoyed by this and thinks that it would benefit his own image, giving him a "wild streak."
Immunity challenge: The players will square in a series of elimination rounds in which they'll eat "local delicacies."
The first three of six players to finish their plates of beetle larvae move on tot he next round. The worms are literally crawling off of the plates. Andrea and the others go right for it, trying to shove both in their mouths at once, while Malcolm does the pair one at a time. Andrea finishes first, followed by Malcolm. Sherri races to finish but gags a bit and Eddie sneaks in to take the third spot. Sherri quickly spits out the mouthful of beetle larvae. Sherri, Corrine and Erik are all out.
In the next round, Dawn tries to start before Jeff has even said "Go." Cochran actually does it in blazing fashion. Phillip follows. Dawn tries to get her worms down, but Michael takes the third spot after forcing himself not to puke the things back up.
In the next round, Andrea, Cochran, Phillip, Michael, Eddie and Malcolm look at "ship worms." Jeff explains they are actually part of the clam family, "the ocean's equivalent of a termite." He says they bore through ships. Malcolm and Eddie slurp up their ship worms and Cochran works his way into the third and final spot.
Down to Eddie, Malcolm and Cochran, they see duck embryos.
"I can see the feathers," Malcolm says.
The shells are removed and the players can see the feathers and beaks. Cochran finishes very quickly while Eddie gags almost uncontrollably, at one point spitting out a fair amount while Malcolm chews efficiently. Malcolm gets the whole thing down to challenge Cochran in the final round and Eddie coughs out everything he had in his mouth, saying afterward that the first thing he bit was the beak.
The final round is about to start and everyone seems to be impressed by Cochran's amazing ability. Malcolm calls Cochran, "Ginger Kobiyashi." The final item is pig brain.
It's a quick one, and it's down to the wire, but Cochran finishes about a half-second before Malcolm and does a little shadow boxing to celebrate. Even Malcolm is all smiles as Cochran fulfills a lifelong dream of having Jeff put the immunity necklace around his neck.
Back at camp: Cochran is pretty giddy about having won the challenge and everyone applauds him. He tells everyone he knows the moment won't really happen again.
Malcolm tells us he's happy for Cochran and that he gets to "check one off of the bucket list" before he's bumped from the game.
Malcolm and Eddie go talk about their situation. Malcolm is glad Corrine is in his corner because she's a fighter.
Phillip tells Corrine they should split the vote between Reynold and Eddie. She tries to urge him to vote Sherri out first. Corrine tells us she was "furious" that he wouldn't even listen to her point. She decides that's going to turn on him. She goes and talks to Cochran and Andrea about voting Phillip out. Cochran isn't sure why she wants to save Reynold and Eddie, but is fine with sending Sherri home.
Corrine goes and talks to Reynold and Eddie about voting Sherri out first and tells them how much she hates Phillip.
Corrine and Dawn talk and Corrine tells her about voting out Sherri. Corrine says she's going to want Phillip gone if she keeps being ignored especially by Phillip. Dawn doesn't like the numbers in Corrine's alliance Corrine, Malcolm, Reynold, Eddie, Erik, Michael and now Dawn. Dawn tells us that this is the kind of info she got last time she played and she didn't share it with anyone, and that was her downfall. She says she can't repeat the same mistake.
Dawn goes to Cochran and tells her about Corrine's plan, noting "she's got the Fans to do it." Cochran is surprised that Corrine has quietly taken control. They start to put together votes for Corrine, wondering if they have enough to oust Corrine.
Cochran goes and tells Andrea about Corrine's plan and how they're "all screwed" if Corrine's plan goes through.
Andrea goes and tells Phillip about Corrine's plan. Phillip is giddy about how his alliance has come to him. He says he "will not allow Corrine to take control of this game."
Phillip next tells Sherri that he wants her to vote Corrine and that if she follows his orders, she'll change her fate in the game because it will mean he'll know he can use her again.
Sherri tells us that she's willing to make a big move, but she "can't stand Phillip he's so arrogant."
Meanwhile, Erik asks Andrea to just point to a name on the tribe flag and she points to Corrine. Cochran tells us doesn't like Erik having a swing vote, but Erik tells us he thinks it's pretty cool, although "I just wish I knew what I was going to do."
Tribal Council: Jeff presumes that the Favorites are in control and that a Fan would likely go home. Michael says it's "pretty clear to us that the Favorites are going to be sticking together." Corrine says that "a situation is never helpless" and goes on to say she doesn't rule anything out.
Cochran says it's a good thing that Corrine is so open about her willingness to listen to others' plans. He says he'd be more suspicious if she said she wasn't. Corrine smiles.
Reynold, asked what he can do, says now is the time for a low-level Favorite to start making some moves. Erik agrees with this outlook.
Andrea says she's more paranoid this time around and Corrine randomly quotes Mike Tyson, saying, "Everyone's got a plan until you get punched in the face."
Sherri bluntly says, "I think the Fans don't have a shot." Reynold says there is a lot going on and "this bottle's about to pop." He says tonight's vote probably won't be a big shocker, "but I think there's some shockers on the way."
It's time to vote. Phillip writes down Corrine's name, calling her "one of the most selfish people I've ever met in my life." Corrine writes down Sherri's name and says, "You played a good game, but unfortunately for you I wasn't looking for applications for new friends." Andrea writes down Corrine's name and says, "You are dangerous I just hope that everyone does what they said they were going to do. I'm really nervous." Michael writes down Sherri's name and apologizes, saying, "I'm just trying to stay alive another day and I hope you are not too upset."
The vote: No hidden idol is played and Jeff reads the votes: Sherri, Sherri, Sherri, Sherri, Sherri, Corrine, Corrine, Corrine, Corrine, Corrine, Corrine and the ninth person voted out is Corrine.
Corrine's last words: "In Gabon, the people I played with were actually very close to my heart. Here, I didn't really like anybody other than Michael and Malcolm. I knew there were problems, which is why I was willing to move out to a different alliance. Unfortunately, I'm out of the game. You've just got to look at it as, 'I got to spend 22 days in an awesome paradise and I made some new memories."
