Botched fembot story
lor_15 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Will Ryder continues his nearly annual "Love, Sex..." series for Adam & Eve with this botched edition, taking an okay premise and lousing it up. Story-oriented porn features have become so rare that its faults won't matter to most (except for me).

While sex with a life-sized love doll is strictly old-hat 1980s type porn, sex with a robot remains a more viable story concept, with writer-director Will Ryder presenting a company run by his regular NonSex actor Frank Bukkywd, beta testing new lines of fembots. His daughter Maria Kazi's boyfriend Tyler Cruise works for Frank, and he's assigned to take home the latest edition named Nana (an acronym), played by Kira Noir in movie's starring role.

Predictable problems quickly ensue, as Maria lives with Tyler and doesn't take kindly to the inevitable sexual attraction developing between her fiance and the fully-functional (including sexual) robot. Ryder ineffectually tries to turn the rom-com oriented movie into a thriller, as Nana the fembot turns murderous, killing (off-screen) a neighbor's dog and later trying to off Maria to remove competition for Tyler's affection.

There's plenty of other sex content, with miscast co-worker Brad Newman having a comical softcore sex scene with Noir, undoubtedly included for pay-cable version of the movie as well as two earlier model fembots played by starlets Zarella Skies and Athena Anderson, who have a threesome with Rusty Nails.

Poor direction by Ryder is evidenced by newcomer Athena Anderson's casting and performance: her elaborate tattoos hardly qualify for a fembot, and in her sex scene she is constantly out-of-character, behaving like a domme, not a servant robot.

Finale has the movie self-destructing, but I won't reveal exactly how, even after calling up a Spoiler Alert.
