A very unusual and sharp angle of view at World War II events
m_lebovka2 September 2015
  • You know what is most difficult during the war? To remain human.

An unbelievable, truly incredible and very impressive story. A movie about the way to find right choice when there is actually no any choice at all. An honest and sincere film. Story of a cruel, disgusting and horrible war. Story of people living through very hard times, people acting in the face of death. There is a first-class director and fantastic actors work. Especially 3 years old twins, they act unbelievable! Can't even imagine how many hours should film director spend to make children act that bright! One of those really important angles of view at the events of World War II - unusual, razor-sharp and truthful. Not the easiest drama to watch though deeply touching one's soul. Unexpectedly bright product within the budget limits, that is the only obvious minus. 4 series with an intense plot and bright characters.

An excellent movie about peoples life choices under the German Invasion during the Second World War
ekaterina-sis9 September 2015
Time goes by and the terror of Second World War seems less and less topical. Most of the films produced about that time are either a bloody love story or a superhero movie. Brave soldiers and cute nurses, experienced martial Generals, wise and kind Presidents combines with bandages, exploding bombs and huge crowds of soldiers fleeing on the field. Well let me tell you that Angely Voyny (Easily translated as The angels of War) is quite a different movie. It is not just about the cruelty of Germane aggressors and invaders but as well about people trying to live somehow normal life under the invasion. Interaction between different characters produces some unexpected stories that still manage to stay realistic and logical. Everything in this movie feels natural and organic. Near by flawless acting and perfectly written dialogues do not allow the viewer to doubt the reality of the situation even for a second. I saw the whole all three parts in one day. Could not stop. But to tell the truth, this is not a movie for those who wants to see some action or hopes for a nice happy end - this is a deep psychological drama that raises up quite a bunch of moral issues and makes the viewer question "How far would I go in order to save my own ass?"
