- There are three different cuts of the film. The original version, released in 2001, was edited using two VCRs and is the longest, with 120 minutes. In 2010, director Felipe M. Guerra scanned the tape of the first version and made a 75 minutes re-cut, basically just cutting the excesses and changing the soundtrack, to exhibit at some film festivals. Finally, to mark the 20 years of the original release, Guerra returned to the master tapes, scanned all the material, and made a new edit from scratch, called Redux. The third cut premiered at a Brazilian film festival in April 2021 and has 80 minutes. In addition to several new scenes that didn't exist in the previous versions and a whole new soundtrack and sound design, Guerra used alternate takes from most of the scenes, making the Redux a completely different version of the film.
