Gws vs Bris, at Manuka Oval.

Tom Green out for the Giants. Taylor starts well defensively, but the Lions kick the first 3, before number-one pick Cadman gets the Giants on the board. The Lions lead by 19 at quarter-time. Toby takes a contested grab and converts to get the Giants back within a goal. Daniher goals from outside 50 and Brisbane take a 19-point lead to the half. The Lions get a few early ones in the 3rd, before Toby goals from the boundary for the Giants. Cameron kicks his fifth though, make it 6. Toby with precision passing and Daniels finishing. Brisbane up 22 at 3-quarter time. Himmelberg takes a one-hander and converts. The Giants put up a good fight, but the Lions too good, home by 21 points. The Giants marginally ahead in the hit-outs, the Lions +9 in clearances, the Giants with much more of the footy, but a lot of it via handball. Brisbane with 8 more inside 50's, for 6 more scoring shots. Cameron best afield, with 15 disposals, 2 contested marks, 7 goals and an assist. For the Giants, Greene 22 disposals, 5 inside 50's, 442 metres gained, 2 goals and an assist. O'Halloran 17 disposals, 5 inside 50's, 6 tackles, 471 metres gained, an assist and 3 straight goals. Coniglio 38 disposals, 8 clearances, 8 tackles and an assist.
