Megnum opus Series - TAJ Reign of Revenge
First of all I would like to congratulate the entire team of ZEE5 & The Production House ( Contiloe Pictures).

I have seen many period movies whether it is from Hollywood or Bollywood but I can tell by looking at this series. The team definitely has paid a lot of attention to making this magnum opus series- VFX, Costumes , jewelry , Casting of Actors, shooting locations , Series's Set Art work is too awesome. Directors wisely use all the locations with the help of Cinematographer which proved to be very helpful in making the quality of production Enhance.

Dharmendra Sir & Nasruddin Shah have presented their experience in acting with excellent dialogue delivery is Excellent👌 Aashim Gulati who plays Akbar's son Salim in this series. He also did a great jobs (fight sequence as a warrior, Dialogues, face expressions in any scene are outstanding).

Looking forward to the next episodes.

Best historical series

Best series of 2023, the costume used are so good, the acting of dharmendra ji and nasiruddin shah is sooo good,. The set used are so accurate. VFX work is so up to the mark. The books in the Divided by Blood series are fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time; that's how intriguing it was. Each of the characters is well out and easy to follow. The entire time I was reading Taj: Split by Blood, I was transported to another world. The sequences of violence are created with both suspense and realism in mind for maximum enjoyment. This is a must-see for any enthusiast of adventure or fantasy. The fantastic visual effects raise the bar significantly. A high-quality TV show.

27. The characters come alive on screen because to the excellent acting. I've recently discovered that Taj's Split by Blood series is one of my favorites of all time. The environment of Taj: Split by Blood is well developed, adding to the story's realism and immersion. Taj: Divided By Blood's central premise is novel and exciting since it has never been tried before. There aren't enough superlatives I can use to describe the novel Divided By Blood, which is centered on Taj. Simply said, this is a work of art. The novel Taj: Divided By Blood has a lot of surprising turns that left me guessing till the very end.

I was waiting for a series like this.
sidarthshukla15 May 2023
From the very first episode, I was completely enthralled by the rich and vibrant tapestry of the narrative. The series beautifully weaves together different timelines, effortlessly transitioning between the Mughal era and the present day, creating a seamless blend of past and present. The attention to detail in the production design, costumes, and set pieces is truly commendable, transporting viewers to the era of the Mughal empire and making them feel like they are part of the historical events unfolding on screen.

The performances in Taj are nothing short of outstanding. The talented ensemble cast brings the characters to life with depth and authenticity. Each actor delivers a remarkable portrayal, capturing the essence of their respective roles. Whether it is the intense chemistry between the star-crossed lovers or the complex dynamics between the historical figures, the performances are emotionally charged and truly compelling.

Taj season two best historic series!
I was not expecting this level of drama aesthetics and beauty. But taj season two part one is all of this and much more. I did not realise when i got done with all the four episodes. A bit disappointed that couldn't watch all the eight episodes at once but the shear brilliance of nasiruddin shah Dharmendar sanhya mridul aditi rao hydri and the new girl playing mehrunissa the guy playing salim aashim top his performance from season 1 and the script is so much more engaging and full of drama that keeps you wondering what next, with interesting one liners like "beta nah baghi" and the intense character transformation of daniyal taj part two is a visual treat for all you people into friction.

rayatmadeep17 May 2023
With season one a strong base was set for taj and the creators Abhimanyu Singh and Vibhu Puri With the help of all the build up created before were successfully able created a dynamic season two with much more drama and aesthetic and character the change of dairector clearly relflects on the show now as it caters much more to what the Indian audience prefers Sufi sings family drama emotional crisis revenge retribution good actors and strong characters. Not only did taj gave us the fastest season two but the also elevated the show to a whole new level. Now let's see if the graph keeps going up with the part two. All in all a good watch especially if you like to binge. Look out for the brilliant performance of nasiruddin shah and the soulful song mere maula.

Back with a bang and full of revenge
bibhu-9332125 May 2023
Season 2 'Taj: Divided by Blood' starts with a leap of 15 years after the events of the first season. A few minutes long recap montage certainly doesn't do justice to the years of plotting, scheming and blood that was spilled in Season 1. One has to watch it in totality to understand and enjoy what happens next. And it's no spoiler when we say it has a lot to do with power-hungry royals baying for each other's blood and women unsuccessfully trying to wrestle control over the men and their actions. In the first three episodes on which this review is based, there is a lot more familial tension and backstabbing than any external threat to Badshah Akbar's Mughal Empire that is going through its most challenging phase.

Vibhu Puri who takes over the directorial reign from Ron Scalpelo lets the story flow seamlessly with all the hallmarks of the show firmly in place. But now since the gloves are off, it's a lot more cut and dry. The relationship between the royal siblings and even their offspring continues to be strained beyond repair. The pace of the screenplay remains quite swift but there's less action. It's hard not to miss the hot-headed Prince Murad (Taaha Shah Badussha), who was always raking up conflicts and spilling blood. Daniyal's (Shubham Kumar Mehra) coming into his own makes up for it somewhat and the show continues to be unpredictably savage.

This season too opens with veteran superstar Dharmendra as Sheikh Salim Chisti predicting dark times and doom for Emperor Akbar. His make-up and costumes completely transform him into the character and his strong and iconic voice leaves the desired impact of his words. This time though we feel dialogues are a lot better overall. They are much in sync with the royal times depicted in the show. Aashim Gulati is impressive as Salim, the wronged heir apparent. Naseeruddin Shah's natural restraint and skill in playing a complex and iconic character like that of Emperor Akbar is put to such good use here. He is perhaps the best choice for the job. Women are once again relegated to either being abused by men or scheming (often in vain) to make their place in the pages of history. Once again, the makers take a stab at enough cinematic liberties to thicken the plot with gory twists and turns.

The legend of Emperor Akbar and the Mughal Empire is soaked in blood and on screen it has always made for a riveting tale of complex human relations and ambition. In its second season, 'Taj: Divided by Blood' continues to deliver on every count that was expected from it after a thrilling and engaging first season.

Note: This review is based on the first three episodes and will be updated after the rest of the episodes are watched.
