Surprising. In recent years, Asian productions, no matter how beautiful the actors and scenery, repeat the same stories and themes, in different scenarios. Only this is different. The theme of the gangster and the honest girl, who is actually not really a gangster and the girl is not really a saint😉 is brilliantly approached by the director. The intense and very bold humor is mixed with tragedy, which is not really a tragedy either if you pay attention. I was surprised by the mixture of drama, not knowing the language, I couldn't associate it with a typical Asian cinema. Only after I finished it did I find out that it was Taiwanese. Attention, it must be followed until the end of the screentext with credits, otherwise you miss the real ending and...😂.

Wow, not sure what I was expecting when I started this movie but... it wasn't that. And I loved it!
Miss Shampoo is really silly, really dumb and really hilarious. The humor can be quite blue, and yet I found the story, characters and writing incredibly endearing. I've never seen a movie that is able to bounce so seamlessly between humor and earnestness. I think that even the vulgar humor is done in a really clever and smart way. The jokes never felt cheap or easy, and the comedic timing of the actors was spot on.
I'll second what another review mentioned: Make sure you watch until just after the first credits to get the true ending!

Silly, stupid and one-of-a-kind!

Miss Shampoo is a comedy that pokes fun at both the gangster and romance genres. The strength of this movie is that it doesn't take itself too seriously! It's irreverent, stupid and hilarious. We didn't really know what to expect, but loved it and laughed from beginning to end. Now we're craving more of... whatever this is!
Cast was great, each character was written with a lot of love, and the cinematography was good too.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea -it was quite vulgar, but even with all of the risqué jokes, it had a lot of heart! Find someone who loves you enough to let you give them a bad haircut.

Very funny , even the mature content was funny.

I was pleasantly surprised at this . Very funny and all of the actors did very well in their respective parts. As for the mature content. That was something that you would hear 5th graders talk about so it wasn't that bad as a matter of fact it was very funny. The lead actress was supposedly a very dorky hairdresser trying to get her license while the gangster that fell for her is trying to change. I love this movie especially the ending where everyone thought that he had died. As the saying goes he is indestructible and can't be killed. This is a worthwhile movie to watch if you want a good laugh and forget about your everyday problems. I can't for the life of me understand the low rating, this should be a 10.

I found this movie and picked it kind of at random on Netflix and was extremely pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The way they approached the humor took me by surprise (in a good way) and had me hooked from the very beginning. The characters were so easy to get attached to while subverting your expectations for how they would act. And though hilarious, it still manages to be heartfelt and actually tug your heart strings a few times. Honestly, it was moved quickly up my list of favorite movies of all time. Overall, I say you should give it a shot if you're looking for a good comedy and a good time.
