10k Budget Shot in 6 Days

Independent films are hard to compete with the big dog studio films typically due to money and time. This indie horror defied many odds in my opinion having a very talented eye behind the camera, incredible lighting, and a twist on a concept that is relatable to many. Are there moments that you feel choices were made based on what they had, yes, but that doesn't take away from the experience or make it less entertaining which is where some lower budget films can lose me. The characters were developed as well as can be with 90% of the story staying in one location and Stanley really steals the show for me. Overall really well done here and hope to see more from Director Nicolas Wendl, Producer Dani Abraham, and writer Tanner Adams. Maybe a Stupid Games 2 and a bigger budget?

A game to remember

Well paced and intelligently staged micro budget movie that's entertaining throughout. The movie relies heavily on its simple premise but manages to add more intrigue with secrets the characters are hiding about the nature of what is really going on here. Terzakis shines in a stand-out performance that steals the show. As a big fan of complicated board games, it's central prop feels authentic and the rules make sense, which keeps the viewer grounded as the rules of the rest of the world begin to bend toward the supernatural.

Definitely watch with your friends who love horror and get ready to laugh and shout together!

Fun horror film!

This is a fun horror film with a few good scares that had me jumping a mile high (admittedly, I do scare easily). It is a psychological/supernatural horror film and I appreciated they didn't go super heavy on any gore. Story-wise, you know SOMETHING is off but it keeps you guessing as to what exactly is going on. Production-wise, it's very impressive what the filmmakers pulled off with their limited resources and goes to show you don't need a huge budget to create something original and entertaining. The acting and cinematography were good and the overall direction of the film was on point. Would recommend!
