Just ok
nikkizai1 November 2023
The show started out great, kept me coming back for more. Then slowly it was becoming more and harder to watch. The chemistry between fays character and Jawad was non existent. The ending was horrible, didn't see that coming at all! I don't know something was off............I mean by the time I lost interest in the show it was too late, I invested so much time lol! I think they they could have chosen a better actress to play Fay.........she didn't have any chemistry at all! I mean it's not something that I'd watch again. Total turn off.

I would not recommend this show but it's just ok if you want to waste time!

Capturing from the first episode
ricardo-mahshi3 August 2023
This is a very interesting ajd engaging series that showcases the contemporary and traditional culture in Lebanon. Great looking actors and entertaining.

This series is based on a Turkish series produced in 2014 called Güllerin Savasi.

The events are similar but the Lebanese cultural flavour is different than its Turkish counterpart. The ending is also different than the Turkish original series.

The plots are not very complicated but there are a few twists here and there. Watch this as a couple and sometimes having a glass of wine and a snack can add to the experience.

There are other hidden gems like this but sadly the translation or dubb does not give it its right but yet it is watchable.

Turkish Drama Queeeeeeeeeeeeeeeens
joulian3410 August 2023
What was I thinking? It's based on a Turkish drama that's based on stories from an alternative reality that never happens in our world. Like seriously the amount of coincidences in this show is out of control, almost Bollywood-level. If you hate someone and would like to cause them diabetes and hypertension or you know... Cause their brain cells to just cease to exist, this is a good series to suggest for them 😉 The only good thing about this show is the main actors and actresses, good acting skills IMO. Other than that, it hurts my brain to just try to find something positive to say about this hot garbage.

I wish middle eastern production companies would drop this obsession with Turkish media!!!

The Series is Turkish Version Copy Paste And So degenerate...
mariavivaldi12 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
At the beginning of this series it looked so innocent and I thought the arabic version is different than the Turkish original.

But with time it became so imitating. Not just imitating the story also they're imitation the degenerate manners of the Turkish series, such as Fay sleeping with Jawad and getting pregnant. And these actors say that's art and that's the reality. No dear! You actors and directors created this carb reality. We as conservative Arabs our culture our religion including Muslims and Christians reject this degeneration.

Please the most ironic the "middle eastern" picked the "Flop, Failed" Turkish series to imitate it!

Waste of time

A show that starts off well but then slaps you in the face and quickly goes downhill. And the sad truth is you've already watched so many episodes to not see how it all wraps up.

Alia was the most interesting character. The actors that played Alia, Jawad and Bassel all did a great job. Fay was an absolute pain and made the last 30 episodes almost unbearable to watch but again you've already invested so much time to not see how it ends. There were so many ridiculous and eye rolling moments. I wish I could have the time I spent watching this drama back. Will never touch it again. Save yourself 90 episodes of ultimate disappointment.

On a positive note, the opening song is beautiful.

disappointed.
heba_alkateb30 October 2023
One of the most frustrating works ever, as a super fan of TV , this work made me angry all the time, things happen and nobody says anything about anything. For 88 episodes? Some people do some horrible stuff and it goes like haa the watcher will forget, come on.

A TV show needs to give chillings, needs to have a plot, ups and downs, a plot twist, a semi plot twist and even if there is one, it ends so poorly! No rising points which ends with satisfaction to the viewer, this work gave me zero satisfaction.

+ the poor acting except for Mahmoud , though I love the actors so much.

It's a mega failure.

What a waste of money and time ! It does not even worth watching
vmbyw18 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The series in question represents a disappointing low in contemporary Arab television, failing to uphold the standards of quality and creativity expected in modern storytelling. The decision to allocate a budget for such a project is baffling, and it reflects poorly on the decision-makers involved. The story is not just weak; it's embarrassingly underdeveloped, lacking in depth, and devoid of any originality or intrigue. It's as if the writers merely stitched together a series of clichéd plot points without any effort to create something meaningful or engaging.

Furthermore, the acting is subpar, contributing to the overall sense of immaturity that pervades the series. The characters are unconvincing and one-dimensional, making it impossible for viewers to form any emotional connection with them. This lack of depth in character development is a testament to the lackluster direction and uninspired script.

Additionally, the series suffers from immature story building. Plot lines are introduced haphazardly, with no logical progression or satisfying conclusion. It's as if the series is aimlessly meandering without any clear direction or purpose. This makes for a frustrating viewing experience, as it becomes evident that there's no thoughtful planning behind the story's progression.

Moreover, the production houses seem to prioritize publicity stunts and sensationalism to gain popularity in the news, rather than focusing on the quality of their work. This approach not only undermines the integrity of the series but also disrespects the audience's intelligence and discernment.

I regret not just the time spent watching this series but also feel that its existence is a disservice to the art form. Such content should not only be criticized but actively discouraged. It's a missed opportunity for meaningful storytelling, and its presence in the realm of Arab art is nothing short of shameful."
