- While investigating the brutal homicide of a teenage motocross driver, the team stumbles upon a man and his daughter living in mysterious underground bunker.
- Teenager Carl Abrams's corpse is found in the desert, both hands cut off, but at different times. Initially he's confused with his buddy, Edward Trigg's son Dylan, whose motorbike he borrowed for an adventurous hike in abandoned mine country. Nick discovers the corpse was near the entrance to a luxury underground bunker home built and inhabited by Tommy Barnes, who deliberately disappeared with his teen daughter Miranda, later found hiding inside, since a false accusation ruined his life in a dodgy trial. But he wasn't he only one keeping secrets.—KGF Vissers
- A teenager is found dead, wrapped in a camouflage canvas. Nick and Morgan note that he was beaten on the face, had an animal bite on his leg, a knee brace and both hands were severed. Sara accesses a traffic camera with Russell and they see that a man with camouflage clothing and night-vision googles dumped his body. Finn finds an origami in one of his pockets. They track the knee brace and the owner is Dylan Trigg. Morgan and Det. Lawrence go to his house and his father tells them that Dylan is alive at home. Dylan recognizes his friend Carl Abrams that borrowed his motocross to camp alone at Koval Ridge to explore the mines. Nick and Morgan search the area with Sam and find an underground shelter in the middle of the desert. They arrest the owner and soon the CSIs find evidence that Carl died inside. Who is the man and why Carl was killed?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The CSIs find a body near a forest reserve, which they discover might be where a serial killer takes his intended victims.
