One of the most touchy, mildly funny sketches from Funny or Die, this one mocks Ryan Gosling and his acting range viewed by its creators as being something very limited. I won't say they're right because I've seen Gosling doing all kinds of roles and he was convincing in the majority of them. The man has talent, let's face it. Go with "Half Nelson", then "Lars and the Real Girl", "Murder By Numbers" and "The Believer" and tell me if he's closed in one thing.
But the folks here are half right about some limits, due to his latest types of characters, as evidenced (and mocked) here as a good looking country boy, mysterious, menacing at times but who manages to seduce any girl with almost no effort. The actor playing him - who doesn't look like him though he sounded very similar - spoofs his character in "Drive", with the scorpion jacket and the toothpick, giving us lessons and examples on how to act like Ryan.
Few laughs here and there, it's short and harmless but the Funny or Die has way better material than this. And less critical. If curious, search for "Ryan Gosling Acting Range". 8/10
