This is a fun episode of this sitcom which did a lot of neat guest star episodes while it was running. Being shot in front of a live audience, this show often takes advantage of using that audience to enhance the comedy. This episode in particular does this as Alex does an opening sequence which involves him coming on stage as himself and it's time for Americas Most Popular Gameshow and the Audience yelling "Wheel of Fortune".
After this, the show gets right into plots which they were in the middle of on the previous episode with Alex interrupting from time to time. The now famous Dr. Ken Jeong does a guest role here as a mad plastic surgeon. Cedric The Entertainer shows up as a marriage counselor. While the script uses Alex for humorous asides eventually he does get a role as a National Park Ranger.
This is an excellent episode which uses a lot of references to all the stars other roles and milks the comedy in a wild fashion to avoid chaos and finishing by taking a bow. Style and fun all in a nice package. This is one to enjoy.
