Andrewsarchus is an obvious predator known from a single skull that roughly resembles a very large wolf. But close inspection suggests it is an ungulate (e.g. horses, pigs etc.) most closely related to hippos and whales. Still, it probably looked like a wolf but with hooves.—David Foss
