Game Grumps: The best Let's Play channel on YouTube.
mattpat-1-7488113 September 2015
Since beginning to watch Game Grumps in late 2014, I have to say that I am having a blast watching these two idiots play games and make funny jokes.

Arin is wacky and knows how to make Dan laugh. He "fairly" knows game design and what makes certain games appealing. He has a very specific set of games that he enjoys which is why he is the "Grump" of the group. His rage is truly the absolute best and never ceases to make me laugh. Dan is the most lovable guy in the world with the most amazing singing voice. He is 100% genuine and will never hold back to say what he feels at the moment. His age gives way to strange and funny stories from him eating over 30 pot brownies to him wedging a U-Haul truck into a tunnel ceiling.

The chemistry between these two is amazing and you can tell that these guys really enjoy playing games with each other. Mashed together with the sarcastic annoyance of Ross, the quick edits and slurred speech of Barry, and the cute-voiced Suzy, this show is great for anyone who enjoys a good dick-joke and good witty improvisational comedy.

I love gaming banter!
Foreverisacastironmess12316 September 2017
Hosted by the very lively and always colourful Arin Hanson and the walking smile that is Dan Avidan, this tremendously fun and entertaining YouTube series consists of the duo's casual yet very spontaneous commentary over the wide variety of games that they like to play or just try out, sometimes all the way though, sometimes not, but overall for me it's never really failed to just be a lot of fun to watch. As far as the games go, there's truly something for everyone, and although I think that a big part of the enjoyment is simply how much you know about and like the game in question that's being played, it's still the guys' lively and frequently laugh out loud commentary that primarily drives the appeal of their videos. The humour goes from bawdy and off the wall to more often than you might think surprisingly honest and thoughtful. I've particularly loved the really long and ongoing playthroughs like the chaotic Mario Maker episodes, Bloodborne and Dark Souls, and the Zelda Wind Waker one, which spanned over a whole year before they wrapped it up! The style kind of makes it so that you share in their frustration and joy and everything in between. I think Arin and Dan have a better chemistry together than Arin and Jon had, except that they never have debates! Arin is such a blast to listen to and I love his talent for voices, the ditsy girl, the campy voice and the Mario, and it's always so funny when he really loses his rag in frustration and incoherently screams his head off! And Dan's such an awesome human being, and is so unbelievably chilled out and sweethearted and never snaps or seems to get angry himself, even when he's clearly miserable during a particularly arduous bump in a playthrough! If nothing else both guys are genuine and completely sincere, no reactions are forced, I don't think you couldn't fake that kind of frustration or laughter. I really think the show as good as it ever was, at least it's sure seemed that way in the four or so years that I've been watching. The infectious genuine enthusiasm of those two guys combined with the game-play is a winning combination, and has kept me coming back and is easily why they're one of the best internet videogame shows to watch. Watching this show never fails to lighten my mood and make me laugh, I think it's a terrific series and I hope it's one that will go on for a long time to come. The Grumps are here to stay. Keep up the good work boys, much love!! X

One of the best the internet has to offer
thomasspencer11 April 2013
The pairing of internet comedians Jon Jafari and Arin Hanson truly was one of the best ideas You Tube has to offer. It's strange to think that the simple premise of the show, two guys sitting around bantering while playing video games, initially put me off. But then I caught the first part to their Sonic '06 series and I was instantly hooked.

The two share such perfect chemistry with each other. It's strange to think a show could surpass over 500 episodes and still manage to stay fresh and appealing, but Hanson and Jafari managed to and then some. Far from becoming stale, each episode genuinely gets better and better as you become accustomed to these two likable, hilarious friends and their strange yet wonderful conversations.

Not only that, but the clear passion and effort that goes into the show surpasses it from just any internet show. It seems professional, yet not-so. It's a strange mix that cannot be described thoroughly through a simple online review. One minute the two are guffawing over a silly scenario they themselves created, the next their having an in depth discussion on game design. It's wonderful.

Of course, on top of this you have the marvelous editing by Barry Kramer, who manages to add something special to the show despite never appearing physically in it (as of 2013 anyway).

Overall, it really is a fantastic show. If you plan on giving it a miss just because of the premise or the fact it's online, you're only doing yourself wrong. I leave with a quote from Game Grumps very own Hanson. 'DEHN OUTTA DEHN!'

One of the greatest shows on YouTube
cheetahsweater1 December 2013
This show starring "Egoraptor" Arin Hanson and Danny Avidan is truly a masterpiece. Game Grumps is actually separated into 2 separate shows, "Game Grumps" and "Steam Train". While the show itself was actually created by Arin Hanson and "JonTron" Jon Jafari, Jon recently left the show and was replaced by Danny instead. On Game Grumps, the "Grumps" play games that fans send to them, for example, they have been sent Glover for the Nintendo 64 a lot for some reason. On Steam Train, Danny and "RubberNinja" Ross O'Donovan play PC games such as FTL or Skyrim. Both shows have sub-shows, Game Grumps having Game Grumps VS, a show where the Grumps go head to head, and Steam Train having Steam Rolled, a show where Arin and Ross play PC games with "Razzadoop" Barry Kramer (also the editor of Game Grumps) and "Mortem3r" Suzy Hanson. The show has over 1 mil. subscribers on YouTube, and is truly one of the funniest and greatest shows on the Internet.

Still going strong
neoicecreaman16 August 2014
As someone that started watching game grumps years ago I've got to say that after Danny joined game grumps I really started enjoying it more than I ever had before. from an 8/10 to a 10/10 He's by far my favorite grump, and the reason I still watch today.

In fact, Danny is such a good grump that i'm willing to pad this comment with 10 lines of random BS just to post my original first paragraph.

For those of you that don't know, the game grumps also have an album out called Starbomb (excessive language warning) and it's amazing. I love listening to it on the way to work, along with game grumps episodes audio.

Great to watch and relax to, just like a tv show or movie.

Been watching for quite a few years now and whenever I've had a stressful day, I could always unwind and watch the two grumps talk stories, personal experiences, or just have friendly banter while playing video games. These two have often times given stronger moral messages and teachings while playing games like Legend of Zelda then many major movies hoped to achieve. They are also incredibly relatable even though they have had very different life experiences, and their friendship makes this show one of the bests on the internet.

The Grumps

I love watching these guys. Their commentary and stories are really good. I also like just putting their videos on as background noise.

It really says something that I can still laugh at these couple of cards after 7000+ videos!

I love them
pattison_fay15 October 2017
I have been watching their channel for so long now and even looking back at their older stuff is an awesome time. Sometimes when I'm doing work I'll just have them going in the background (both Danny and Arin have incredibly soothing voices). I've made quite a few friends through the mutual love of these two goons and their friends and its really been a life changing experience. keep on rocking your stuff guys, its incredible.

They have a lot to do
ericstevenson23 January 2018
In 2012, Egoraptor created one of the longest running series in the history of series. That is Game Grumps and it has had literally thousands of individual videos devoted to it. It started off with JonTron and then to Dan. I've seen about the first thousand. Okay, that's not all of them but you have to admit that's still pretty impressive. What makes this show (can I call it that?) so great it that it just has funny conversations that go on forever.

The conversations can range from literally every topic imaginable. There's absurd topics like "Buffalo buffalo buffalo" and criticism of Mother Theresa. A lot of it's related to the games, but it can still be anything. To even describe this series is hard to do as there's an infinite number of jokes. There might be more funny moments in this than anything ever created. One joke that comes to mind is one of the "Mega Man" games with the freeze cracker joke.

It helps that everything about this is so real. As far as I know, it's completely unscripted. It's just crazy to look at every single video game that these people have ever played. I think the longest running was the "Sonic The Hedgehog" which ended after over a 100 videos! They STILL didn't beat the game! I've been watching these videos forever and they always entertain me! ****

Absolutely Amazing

I love these guys with all my heart and soul. They're hilarious, intelligent, and in some cases profound and inspirational. They have kept me smiling and laughing through some tough times, and I completely adore them. They have just my brand of humour and wit, and I love them SO MUCH. I only started watching the story after Danny showed up and I love him, I love Arin, I love their dynamic, and just I love all the Grumps. Arin and his intelligence and comical outbursts, Danny and his sweet personality and voice of an angel, Ross and his undeniable sadism yet likability, Barry and his editing skills and insightful commentary, Suzy and her cheery demeanor and sound advice, Kevin and his general adorableness, Holly and her simultaneous cuteness and badassery, Brian and his hilariously inappropriate yet nonchalant comments, I JUST LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH.

The Harsh Third Year
The first two years of Game Grumps make up the grand majority of Youtube content I can look fondly back on. Whether it was Jon or Dan in the co-host spot, each set of episodes is made up of some of the funniest moments ever to hit the site.

2015 has, thus far, shown a sharp downward curve in quality. Arin forcing reactions and enthusiasm, once serving as an occasional sarcastic highlight to uninteresting sections of gameplay, has become his default response to nearly everything on screen. Where commentary once reflected the game being played, the hosts' commentary can now largely be swapped between videos and have about as much to do with the game as its original release. And the editing. Oh, the editing. Their new editor, ostensibly professionally trained in his field, seems to make a game of lowering the bar on quality of work with each episode. Blank frames, audio syncing issues, hosts calling on him to edit something in and met with nothing but an awkward pause... the list goes on and on. The hosts have also taken to apologizing to jokes which could be considered offensive... during the joke. This is improv 101: backtracking on a joke does nothing but kill any laugh you may have gotten. The perpetually offended never accept apologies and the comedic punch of an offensive line completely misses the target when you falter. It's crazy to see them regress so hard on this, especially.

I honestly do hope that they can get back in their swing, but as the show is now I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

minichol27 August 2019
It super funny and I with a plethora of videos to watch; I find myself watching the grumps everyday religiously. My phone ended up being water damaged from the grumps being interpreted in my showering routine. They're funny and they've got a huge loyal fan base of 5 million +.

they try to be too much like AVGN but fail miserably
amadorl60821 July 2015
these guys are completely and just plainly f@$!king annoying.. they are not even funny, yet laugh nonsensically at every inane thing they see. stupid. AVGN or the angry video game nerd, also on YouTube at least doesn't try to make you laugh.. you will simply laugh with him. He actually has a great premise: play horrible games while making it terribly funny to see how he reacts to every part of the games pitfalls. These game grumps are just full of it. I've sat through several random episodes, and on every occasion they just randomly through F bombs and crack stupid jokes about the most random things. I just don't understand why one should laugh. Nothing is funny... NOTHING.
