    A great episode!

Janai's nightmares are creepy as heck. The sunset violets and crimson orchids look cool; I can see why Janai can't choose. Callum's group finally learn that Amaya and Janai are getting married; it's nice to watch. "The world might actually be..uh..ending...Surprise!" Classic line. The scene with Toddler Claudia following Viren's footsteps is disturbing, especially if you have watched season 6 & 7. The fact that Lux Aurea is so corrupted that they have to kill every human and elf who got infected is a horrific thought. Kazi! Also I can relate to them having books that are years overdue. Amaya gets Janai's sword with a crimson orchid, having Janai fight with her in spirit. "Every step forward is a choice." What a goated line.

    A stunning episode

One of my favorite things about The Dragon Prince is the dragons. They are all so different and beautiful and unique and it makes my heart so happy. You can truly tell by their look what type of magic they're connected to. This episode features all the different types of dragons so well! It's so much fun to see and SO pretty to look at.

Anyway, yeah, other stuff obviously also happens. But. Dragons!

In all seriousness, this episode lays some great groundwork for future episodes and plots. A character from the past that you may or may not remember makes an appearance, dreams parallel the living world, and more.

    Dragon Meeting!

I ADORE the many varieties of dragons in this show! The scene where Zubeia gathers them all to hear Ezran's speech is so cool. It's adorable how supportive Zubeia is of Ezran and his plans. Terry humming the theme song to himself is a fun way to wink at the fourth wall. Baby Soren is terrified of Viren's corrupted face after Viren uses dark magic to save his life, and that just about sums up the main point of Viren's character arc. I love little Claudia's "I'm following in your footsteps!" and I noticed how the figurative meaning is more obvious than the literal meaning. Callum's fun little sketchbook doodles are so cute. I laughed at Janai realizing that she can't stop the protagonists from doing protagonisty things. Then Viren argues with his younger self about the nature of destiny... the Viren & Callum parallels are worryingly strong with this episode.
