Very slow movie though the hudda acting is the only atraction of the movie....since the starting its a very slow boring and aimless..nowhere you feel thrill suspence or excitement...if you are a ranbeer hudda fan only you can tolerate this movie otherwise there is no attraction to see this movie. Still thinking what the makers have made..

Randeep Hooda was the key factor to see this movie but it was really not understandable where was movie leading to..the content is of a cop and his sufferings which is very general..depression ,love loss , alcoholic this kind of sufferings to a cop is so common..the movie goes in extremely slow pace where major showcasing is Randeep only drinking..the story doesn't have any turns it keeps on revolving on some factors..randeep acted very poorly

The movie description completely gave a false idea of storyline. The movie doesn't have a hat ke story, no suspense or action, all we see a cop going down the lane with alcohol and depression But we do hope that it gets better, he will make smart decisions or solve the case and will be appreciated in the end but we just keep on waiting and waiting. The movie is about to end and we are thinking, wait, does it have a part 2. And in last 2 minutes, all the action takes place and that's pretty much senseless. Lol, what's the logic of seeing the whole movie.

Sergeant is a really good movie with great acting by cast and great cinematography and direction. I personally enjoyed hooda's acting and cinematography of the film.

A different way of telling a story like in segments which shows all the steps hooda's character had gone through to get his life back.

I don't know what it is with jio cinema movies they are all set in overseas . Like blind movie of sonam kapoor was set in glasgow, scotland and this one was shot in london, united kingdom. Eaither way the cinematography and color grading of both these films is amazing i really loved watching them.

I wish Bollywood brings more of such movies. It was a bit slow but the brilliant actor like Randeep will keep you hooked the screen.

Unlike other Bollywood and specially South Indian movies, there are no exaggerated expressions, actions, dramas or emotions.

Randeep's acting doesn't seems like acting anymore and he has grown tremendously as an actor. He just own it. I would say, he reminds me of Irrfan Khan. A simple story is made so realistically that you feels like watching it in real time.

Still, you will find a part of the story overly dramatic like randeep's father being a good guy, shown as a villain until the end.

But you will surely enjoy this piece of art. Go and watch it.

The psychological state of the officer has been portrayed beautiful in the script and Randeep hooda has done justice to it with his awesome performance.

Adil Khan and Arun Govil has supported him well with their to the point acting.

I think it is a must watch movie if you like psychological movies and the meaningful ones.

Segeant movie is a story of a father and a son and his grandfather. SOn blames his father for the wrong he has not done. SOn relaizzes it later and apologies to hi father. This is as tory of threee generation. 1 heneration is not there due to some uncertain circumstances. I wont reveal to you. Watch the movie. Randeep Hooda as a depressed dad and a father waiting for justice is nicely shoown in the movie. Good acting. He goes to alchohol and drugs that charcter has also been portayed by Randeep well. I liked the acting of Adil Hussain and Arun Govil also in the movie. This movie Randeep Hooda is also a police officer. He looks like Critiano Ronaldo in most part of the movie due to his haircut. I liked watching theis mocie. Music and songs were also too good. Little diffrent. This movie is a hatke story, set in a foreign location. I had a nice time watchgnt his movie. This movie has also some values to offer. Tells us that we must apologise to oyr elders at the right time, otherwise it might be too late. (for the wrongs we have done). I recommen you to watch this movie. I rate Sergeant 10 starrs on 10.

Don't know why it's rated so bad. Have found IMDB ratings poor for some top class movies. This one is one of them.

Takeaway: Super storyline, Hooda at his best , well created suspense Negatives: Screenplay slows down in between, could have elaborated the story prior to Hooda's lost limb, Adil does not age up to Hooda's friend .. bit of wasted cast.

Overall, great storyline, superb unprecendent suspense , brilliant acting by Randeep Hooda, average screenplay with obvious loopholes, ultra short climax, less of flashback or retelling the story, failure to speed and heat up things in the middle.
